Default Louisville Shocks Cincinnati

Rick Pitino's Louisville team beat Number 4 Cincinnati 74-71 at Freedom Hall. Cardinals junior captain Reece Gaines scored 26 points. He was 9-10 from the free throw line. Ellis Myles had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Cardinals. Just a great win for Louisville.

Wow! Congrats to Pitino (as much as it hurts) and the Cards on a SHOCKING win! This undoubtedly cost Cincy the No. 1 seed...

Yeah it'll be between Alabama and Oklahoma for who gets the final #1 seed. Big win for Louisville.

I still think that Cincinnati could get it, but they will need to be very strong in the C-USA tournament and Alabama and Oklahoma need to lose in their conference tournament, and preferrably early for the Bearcats.

Louisville will undoubtedly make the NCAA Tourney especialy if they can pull off 3 wins against TCU Memphis and Marquette. Louisville has already beaten TCU once in the regular season, and some people might laugh at the thought of then having to beat Memphis and Marquette, but I guarantee you that Cincinatti would not be laughing. Look for Louisvile to tear up the Conference USA Tournament and go to the NCAA. Rick Pitino has the kind of reputation that will prevent any doubt that Louisville might be only equally as qualified as another team. The win over Cincy and Charlotte is making a lot of fans wonder if Louisvilee can pull it off. The are riding a high horse right now and are the most upbeat team in the conference. You can bet these guys have heart! Louisvillles only problem is that they are a fledgling team and do very wel on their homecourt but havent fared to well away from home, but you can bet fan support will be just as big away from home since it is March Madness! Go Cardinals! If this team can make it to 2o wins, there will be a NCAA tournamnet for them! No Louisville team with 20 or more wins has not made it to the tournament!

I wasn't happy with Pitino going to our arch-rival in Louisville, but he's a good man who did a lot for the UK program. And welcome, too, CardinalsKick. We hope you can share your knowledge with us during the tournament and beyond. :wavey:
