Exclamation Kings take a commanding 3 to 1 lead in the series

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry had to get that out of the way, hehe.

Wow, what a game today! What guts and determination showed by the Kings. The Kings' whole frontline ended up being out of the game. Peja's out for the whole series and Webber and then Divac both fouled out and the Kings still won, 115 to 113 in Overtime. I can hardly believe it.

Just curious, Marc, do you still think this series is far from over?

I'm not ready to celebrate yet but it's getting close.

By the way, Dirk did have kind of a big game today like I thought but I have to say:

Nowitzki = Choker

Missed one free throw in regulation that would have won it for Dallas and had a costly turnover in Overtime.

And Marc, thanks for the Kings' avatar! It rocks. :smokin:

I thought that was a rather poor showing by the Kings in the 'Behavioral' department. Technical fouls do not help. Running away with the ball is a technical foul. Also, the refs made some bad calls. One side, Raef LaFrentz establishes just a bit of contact and is not called. As much contact is established by Chris Webber and he gets called. Lame and inconsistent.

Sam, you make some good points. The Kings had what, 6 technicals? Part of being a championship team is keeping your emotional composure and they need to work on that. If I didn't think twice, I would have thought it was the Blazers out there.

The Mavs really blew this one with terrible defense. Their problem is that they are bad in close game situations because they can't defend well. Spike, you're right about Dirk - he is becoming a choker, not putting it in when it counts. Dallas needed one win at home, but the Kings will close it out at Arco.

It's true. They shouldn't act up.

The Kings played great and had reason to celebrate. If you're talking about the technicals, I agree that those are out of hand.

Game 5 is tonight at Arco - will the Kings close it out? We shall see, the Mavs will bring it, though!

Cool Kings take out the Mavericks in 5 games!

Kings 114, Mavericks 101. Game. Set. Match. Kings in 5. I knew my boys could do it. Go Kings!

Woohoo! :partytime:

The Kings are just a better team than the Dallas Mavericks. Period.

Nowitzki went off tonight. He was unstoppable but this time it was Nash with the disappearing act.

At least I don't have to hear anymore crap about how the Mavericks are going to win the title this year.

To me, Dallas is a great regular season team but just not a good postseason team.

air_canada, nice job. You and I are the only ones who picked right in this series.

Yeah I lay it on thick sometimes but I have reason to. Because nobody, including yourself, gives the Kings any respect. About 90 percent of what I've read on the Internet and heard from the media had picked the Mavericks to win this series. I feel like I have to defend them on this board as fiercely as possible, hehe.

Spike, beating the Mavs is nothing to cheer about, IMO. Your real test will come next round, so be ready. Think the measuring stick is against the Mavs? Heck no, everyone knows it's against L.A. and no one has proven they can beat them in a series.

Why not? Everybody and their grandma picked the Mavericks to beat us. We were the underdogs. You even picked the Mavericks to beat us. And the Mavericks couldn't even take it to a Game 7, let alone a Game 6.

That doesn't mean I think the Mavericks are as good as the Lakers. If anything that last series with them should prove to you guys who have been singing the Mavericks' praises all year long and going ga-ga over the Van Exel and LaFrentz trade that the Mavericks are not Championship material, at least not this year.

Of course not, I don't. The Kings don't even think that. They were pretty subdued after the win last night, unlike last year when they went crazy after eliminating the Suns at Phoenix.

Point taken - I think if there was one thing we learned this year it was the Mavs have a ways to go before they are contenders. Namely, playing some defense, getting a post game, and having Notwizki show up like he did in the season.
