Unhappy Georgia Frontiere Dies At 80

Is there any rule that states that a woman cannot be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Perhaps the most serious candidate ever for that honor, Rams owner Georgia Frontiere, died yesterday after losing a lengthy battle with breast cancer.

I'd love to see a woman make the Hall some day, but what did Frontiere do to deserve enshrinement?

Didn't necessarily say she did anything to deserve getting in, apart from owning a team for 29 years and winning a Super Bowl with it (with teams changing ownership quite frequently over the last decade or two, that might be rarer than one would think, at least from now on anyway).

But who else could one possibly name?

My Dad just turned 80. We had a big celebration for him back in
Milwaukee a few weeks ago. GF being 80 puts this all into
perspective for me.

My condolances to the Frontiere family. Georgia was a great
contributor to this game.

But surely even Brad would agree that Georgia Frontiere deserves HOF induction before Denise DeBartolo-York!

The Yorks have run the 49ers into the ground.

Why they're even worse than Jeffrey Lurie!

Niners fans miss the good old days of Eddie DeBartolo! There was an owner you could really appreciate; he may have been a crook, but he was OUR crook, and the team won while he was in charge.
