The M's scored 14 runs on 18 hits yesterday. 17 of those hits were singles. I'm not sure that's a good sign or not...

Hey carter, being you are from the great state of Texas I was wondering if you know much about Jason Botts, who should be getting a lot of playing time with the Rangers now that they have traded Nevin. I just picked him up on my fantasy team. I hear he is a great hitter. I saw him play against the Angels the other day, he reminded me of a lefty Richie Sexson but with a quicker bat.

David Glass has made his best decision ever as the owner of the Kansas City Royals. Not only did he hire Dayton Moore as his new General Manager (a guy who seemed to have set himself up in great position to become the next general manager for the Atlanta Braves), but he also gave Moore complete responsibility for baseball decisions, something Allard Baird had to share with team president Dan Glass.

Now, I could be greedy and ask Mr. Glass to fire his son, but I will instead celebrate this small victory.

Of course, Muzzy Jackson will handle the draft for the Royals (not good people, not good at all) and the team will still lose 100-games for the fourth time in five seasons, but I am ecstatic.

Next, I can look forward to the upcoming NFL season where the Kansas City Chiefs are determined to make another strong run this season at not winning a postseason game.

GO KANSAS CITY!!!!!!!!!!!

Rays had a glimmer of hope last night when rookie pitcher James Shield was on track for his first win then.... the Rays happened. Shields had 5 K's thru 4 then Gathright misplayed two balls in center to allow a total of 4 "earned runs" in the 5th. Kid's got a nasty change and a live fastball.

Then again he probably won't do anything until we trade him for a Yankee Dog and a condiment to be named later.

Yankees are going for the sweep of the Tigers while missing a bunch of players.

Yeah, with all of the bluster about Detroit being for real this is the time for them to put up or shut up with the Yanks, BoSox, ChiSox, and Toronto coming to town over the next two weeks and so far they are shutting up.

Yeah, I watched some of this game tonight and kept thinking to myself: who the hell are these guys (Yankees)?

Tigers pulled one out in the 9th inning. Good for them. 4 losses in a row were enough.

Saw that (well, read about it)... too bad Rivera hurt his back putting on his cleats. Boston is up next for the Tigers.

Is that why Farnsworth was in there last night? He is not (I repeat NOT) a closer.

Boof Bonser pitched his best game of the season last night -- made a couple of mistakes that were hit out and lost to Barry Zito and the A's 4-0. Zito would have beaten anyone last night. He was very good.

affirmative... Tori said he didnt blame Farnsworth cuz he is "the set up man"... but yeah, Rivera strained his back when he bent over to tie his cleats...
