There is no error on the Jets-Miami game.

The line is pick'em - no points to give or take either way.

Cool Anthony's Week 3 Picks

Last week: 6-8-2. Season totals: 12-18-2, Pct. .406. Best Bets: 3-3, Pct. .500.

Home team in capital letters; point spreads (opening line) in parentheses after underdog team; selections with point spreads in bold.

SUNDAY

N.Y. GIANTS
24, Tennessee 14 (+3) - That's it, Jeff Fisher: Go out and wreck Vince Young's already known-to-be-fragile self-confidence. Giants looked terrible in every phase of the game Sunday night, but Peyton Manning has built a career out of making opposing defenses look that way, and Eli Manning should be able to generate enough offense in this spot to win.

NEW ENGLAND 37, Buffalo 3 (+13 1/2) - Like it really makes a difference whether Trent Edwards or Ryan Fitzpatrick starts at quarterback for the Bills, who have lost 13 consecutive games to New England, with a 3-9-1 spread record therein. Make those numbers 14 and 3-10-1 after this blowout.

CAROLINA 17 (+3), Cincinnati 10 - Guess John Fox is in less than complete agreement with Albert Einstein, who once observed that "I never think of the future - it comes soon enough." Fox has decided that the future is now in Carolina with his decision to pull the plug on Matt Moore and have Jimmy Clausen make his first NFL start; and it doesn't require a great deal of genius to peg the Bengals as likely letdown candidates coming off their pivotal home win over Baltimore - and Cincinnati could also be looking ahead to another AFC North tussle next week (at Cleveland).

TAMPA BAY 13 (+3), Pittsburgh 6 - The Steelers still haven't scored an offensive TD in regulation play this season, and Josh Freeman getting points at home against Charlie Batch is impossible to pass up.

BALTIMORE 20, Cleveland 3 (+11) - It wasn't supposed to be this way in Baltimore this year: Having to rely on a defense that has yet to give up a touchdown in 2010, yet the Ravens are 1-1. But they won't need to produce too much offense to easily beat Seneca Wallace at home and the Browns are 2-5 against the line in their last seven at Baltimore, with both covers coming by half-point margins.

MINNESOTA 14, Detroit 13 (+10) - It wasn't supposed to be this way in Minnesota this year either - and if things don't change soon you may start hearing the initials "T.J.," and it won't be a reference to T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Lions are 4-6-2 against the spread in their current twelve-game losing streak to the Vikings, and can be trusted not only to keep this one close, but the unthinkable just might happen.

NEW ORLEANS 34, Atlanta 17 (+5) - Rush Limbaugh's theme song, My City Was Gone, is the B side of the Pretenders' 1983 hit single Back On The Chain Gang. Well it's back on the chain gang for Matt Ryan - as in on the road, where he's 7-11 straight up lifetime with a 76.7 passer rating, a far cry from his numbers at home alluded to in last week's lines. Saints offense woke up late Monday night against a much better defense than they'll be facing here.

KANSAS CITY 24 (+1), San Francisco 17 - The 49ers were the preseason favorites to win the NFC West, even if the main impetus for that was the massive bloodletting of Arizona's roster over the spring; but now they're 0-2 going on 0-3, with the home team in this series having won the last seven meetings, and doing it by an average of 19 points per game.

HOUSTON 23, Dallas 14 (+3) - The Cowboys were the preseason favorites to win the NFC East - and they too are 0-2 going on 0-3, especially if Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson (ankle) and defensive end Mario Williams (groin) are able to suit up, and if Dallas is forced to wear the dreaded blue jerseys (the Texans wore white in their opener against Indianapolis at home two weeks ago).

JACKSONVILLE 28 (+3), Philadelphia 17 - Michael Vick is back permanently as it turns out, but it won't matter this week as the Eagles just might have their weakest defense in decades and Jacksonville simply has their number, with three out of three wins and covers, including two outright upsets as underdogs. May I have another one, sir?

Washington 27, ST. LOUIS 20 (+3 1/2) - The Redskins should be well-rested after the nap they took in the second half last week, and the Rams go for the record here - 15 consecutive home losses. Ain't no stoppin' 'em now.

Indianapolis 31, DENVER 17 (+5 1/2) - Tragedy has struck the Broncos yet again, and they've dropped four in a row both ways to the Colts, who looked mighty scary Sunday night; and in order to have any real chance against Indy's defense you have to run on it - and so far this season Denver hasn't been doing that very well to say the least: 27th in the league in yards per game (77), and dead last in yards per carry (a cachectic 2.4).

ARIZONA 24, Oakland 0 (+4) - Jason Campbell has one and a half bad games, so The Cable Guy benches him; thus it's Bruce Gradkowski getting the start on the road, where he's 1-8 in his career, such as it is, with his only win coming last year against a Pittsburgh defense that was missing both Troy Polamalu and Aaron Smith; and with triple-digit heat on tap for Glendale on Sunday, that means the roof is sure to be closed - and Oakland has lost and non-covered seven straight indoors by an average of 18 points a pop (outscored 208-82). Cards win their first post-Warner home game in a laugher.

San Diego 23, SEATTLE 20 (+6) - I got away with laying the number on the Chargers last week - and when they came through it "improved" their spread record in their first five games of the season since 2007 to 6-11, compared with 21-12 after that over the same period. I'm not about to tempt fate two weeks in a row.

MIAMI 19, N.Y. Jets 13 (P) - Dolphins have won their last three over the Jets after having been sacrificial lambs to them for what seemed like forever; and with Darrelle Revis out for the entire game and Braylon Edwards out for Rex Ryan only knows how long, I'd say the Jets have done all the takin', and it's their turn to give - and to keep giving - in this rivalry.

MONDAY NIGHT

Green Bay
26, CHICAGO 14 (+3 1/2) - The Bears are 2-0 - but let's see what they've got against a real team, Detroit definitely not being one and neither is Dallas at this point in time.

BEST BETS: CAROLINA, JACKSONVILLE, ARIZONA
