Default Rd 2: Lakers 103 vs Spurs 87

What? Too old? No chemistry? If they have Duncan then the Spurs will dominate LA?

Note to Spurs: Get home court advantage, your not winning in LA.

Malone had a triple double tonight and the way LA looked, George 19 pts, in that game and what they have done all season, is there still a question about somebody being selfish?

NO. There isn't.

Payton and Malone are there to win and maybe not in prime, two of the top 10 in the NBA to add to Shaq and Kobe.

Look out..............

The biggest concern for the Lakers this year was how well Kobe Bryant would be, well he's looked absolutely fantastic out there. I still do like the Spurs though, and think it will be an interesting race in the West this year.

I think the Spurs are not the same team as they were last year. Losing guys like Robinson and Kerr hurt because they were leaders and had them winning mentality, having won numerous titles. They brought in a lot of new faces who aren't world champions and they don't have that same mentality. And they are much weaker on interior defense with Rasho compared to Robinson. Rasho is often clueless and confused while Robinson was extremely smart.

What does this mean? I doubt the Spurs will repeat, but they have a chance. They will be one of those teams that comes together at the end of the year. They need time to gel.

Lakers are scary. They're also one team that can win with one of its stars out due to injury. Of course is Kobe is convicted, that puts a damper on things. Still, if Sahq, Payton, and Malone are all healthy, it will be tough to be the Lakers even without Kobe.

I'm interstedn in seeing how this Lakeshow-Indy games turns out. I want to see if the Pacers are the real deal or just benefitting from playing in the East.

West Coast dominates.
and the Lakers are, as expected, the King of the Hill.
Looking forward to a Kings/Lakers game with Webb back on the floor...

Anybody who doesn't give props to LA is smoking something and any LA fan that props them up just looks cocky and doesn't look at the big picture. Props to LA Lakers. Not the fans.

So if you're an LA fan you can't say anything about them because they are winning when 90 % of the people ON THIS BOARD said they would have too many shooters and not play as a team. SA would win when they had Duncan back etc etc etc.......

But, if you're a fan from another team you can say how good they are?

Okay, just switched teams to the Cavs, closest team to me from where I live, and I think LA looks GREAT with Payton pushing the ball up the court and they haven't had any selfish play and there is no reason to think so in the future...........Like I said when they got Payton and Malone, they came there for a championship and thats what they're going to do.

There, is that okay since I'm a Cavs fan now?

I'm just annoyed at fans of Lakers in the past. And since i am a Maverick fan, i have alot of pinned up rage.

Besides. One game doesn't make a team a world champion. Especially when that game is in November.

I would be mad too if I was a Maverick fan, after they let Van Exel go.
Lakers are on top in the west, hence my description as King of the Hill. Notice I didn't use the phrase world champion.
It remains to be seen whether we will earn that title again this season or not.

I'm certainly not mad for letting Van Exel go to get Jamison. But when they did the Walker deal, I squirmed.

I can't wait for Thursday night though.
