This is why they say you shouldn't come back for your senior season when you have the chance to be drafted highly. But this is just going to cause him to miss a few weeks, right? It's probably going to ruin Oklahoma's chances of a BCS bowl regardless.

He made the right move in terms of his future success in the pros by coming back. Quarterbacks who have two or fewer years as a starter tend to have less success at the next level in comparison to those with three or more years of starting experience at the college level. It does not sound like he needs surgery, which is good, and as long as he gets right by the time the combine rolls around his draft status is not likely to be affected by this. It is being reported this is not a degenerative injury, besides, there are a lot of folks who think Stafford would have gone one anyway and Bradford may not have gone top 5 but should in the next draft by coming back.

Bradford re-injured the same throwing shoulder and his collegiate career is likely over now. Wow, turns out returning to school was a big mistake that will cost him tens of millions in guaranteed money ... There are a lot of questions about his thin frame and ability to stay healthy at the next level.

I don't get why folks are all of a sudden gloom and doom about Bradford's draft status. As long as he gets healthy and works out well he will go near the top of the draft. Scouts have seen enough of him to know what he can do when healthy.

But "when healthy" is a big flag, and they were already questioning his thin frame before he got hurt, and hurt again.

This is the first major injury he has dealt with though. It is not like he has missed several games a season due to injury. Just about any QB is going to suffer a shoulder injury if he lands on it wrong.
