I agree with Wedge231. The best manager in the game is in the American League (and I am not a Yankees' fan, either).

I like the current set-up the way it is. You have to remember that both the American League and National League were not always under the MLB banner. They used to be rival leagues, like the old USFL was to the NFL. Both the AL and NL had their own rules, and the DH is a by-product of that. So in a way, each league doing their own thing is a tribute to baseball's history.

And I also like the "home field rules" during the World Series. Baseball is not the NBA, NHL or NFL. Outfield fences are different distances, managers wear the team's uniforms, there is no game clock, the defense controls the ball, coaches are on the playing field...this is yet another quirk that makes baseball different than every other sport.
