Default Pacquiao-Mayweather Would Be a Modern-Day Ali-Frazier? PLEASE!

So Manny Pacquiao is creating a lot of buzz in the boxing world after defeating Miguel Cotto. Some are saying Pacman can revive the entire sport, and a possible fight against Money Mayweather would be huge: Pacquiao-Mayweather Would Be a Modern-Day Ali-Frazier -- Boxing FanHouse

I don't buy this. I'm sorry, but I'm not hyped over a fighter weighing 140 lbs. Boxing will never be the same without charismatic American heavyweights. That's what we want to see and need. Sorry, little Pacman...

I purchased this on PPV with no regrets. Nothing better than seeing a little guy beat the hell out of a big guy, if you didn't see it, I can understand how you might feel, but really, ....you had to see it. It was GREAT! I think it will make many people buy Pac's next fight on PPV. It was said that this fight had record numbers in purchase. Time will tell.

How old is Mayweather? It seems to me he has been around for awhile. I've forgtten what weight division he fights in, or has fought in, or what different weight divisions he has fought in? Regarless of that, I belive Pac will have to get by Mosely first. And, that will be no walk in the park. I think he can take Mayweather, but it will go the distance and be decided by the judges.

Mayweather will be 32-33 by the time this fight possibly takes place in 2010. So he and Pacman are fairly close in age. I will be pulling for Money Mayweather!

Why not? It'd be his last huge payday. Boxers never say no to that kind of $$$...

They are talking in the neighborhood of $30 to $50 mil a piece for each fighter so I'd be shocked if this fight does not happen.

And, because Mayweather never really got the kind of hype Pac has received, and it will be a matter of pride. Both camps are going to milk this out. But, make no mistake about it, Mayweather will want a shot at the new golden boy. If Mayweather is only 32, he isn't over the hill yet and his muscles have the kind of memory Pac hasn't acquired yet. It will go the distance.

But most think this is just mind games by the Mayweather camp, bluffing if you will, trying to plant the seed that Pacquiao uses drugs. To me, this means the fight is on more than ever for March. Go Mayweather!

I think Mayweather is worried, which is why he's doing all of this. But he was on Joe Buck's HBO show and talking smack about Pacquiao. This is going to happen in March, period. There is something called $$$ at stake, a lot of it.

Fight is "off." Yeah, right. This will just be moved to the early summer. Count on it...
