That's an atrocity. How could someone treat animals like that? Another round of bad PR for Vick...

I wonder if "do you actively support dog fighting" will become a new standard question at the combine?

Did you notice the more than a few boos when Vick was introduced along with the other Virginia Tech guys just before the draft started?

Two of his friends say he is involved in dogfighting or knows about it.

I use to be a big Michael Vick fan, but as the off-field issues started to pile up I began to lose more and more respect for him. Now this dog fighting story has pushed me over the edge. IF Vick is involved I hope he gets everything coming to him, including jail time.

I also have a feeling the Falcons will regret trading Matt Schaub to the Texans.

Now they have witnesses that can place him at the house during when dogfights were taking place:

This beginning to look worse and worse for Vick as each day goes by.

Yeah, his so-called friends turning on him. Could it be that they are only coming forth now to get lenacy for their own involvement?? I'm not a conspiracy guy, but you know the police want to get the big fish (Vick) if at all possible. It's not an unusual tactic.

Boy it would be great for Atlanta if Vick had to sit the season. He is a coach killer.

You mean kind of the way Vick did when this story first broke and he disavowed knowing anything about it saying it was the result of friends and family taking advantage of his generosity? What would one expect to happen when he took that route as opposed to saying nothing at all?

I'd loved to hear what Dublin Mike thinks about all the stuff happening with the Falcons this offseason.

But talking strictly on the field, Atlanta needs a suitable backup. I think Joey Harrington and DJ Shockley are behind the depth chart behind Vick. That simply won't cut it.

Yeah, I bet Blank & Company are kicking themselves for trading Schaub away....(or letting him leave, I can't remember the exact transaction...)

They traded him for draft picks.

They still have Shockley but they just picked up Chris Redman whom Petrino coached at Louisville so I'd say he probably has the edge for the #3 slot since he has a working knowledge of Petrino's offense.

The Falcons had to do something with Schaub this offseason or risk losing him via free agency and getting nothing for him next spring. At least they were able to move up in the draft and get Jamaal Anderson to replace Kerney and net an additional pick near the top of the second round.
