Default Talkin' About Practice?

...Just wondering who saw clips of Iverson's press conference today.

From the 2 minutes I saw of it, I think he was "talkin' about practice, man." He was "talkin' about practice," not "a game, man -- practice."

I think I got the hint after the first minute

Iverson went to college and he uses poor grammar so much it's disturbing. I am sick of this whole debacle in Philly, enough already.

He still had to go to classes and pass in order to play on the Hoyas. But I see your point.

So I got a chance to see this whole interview this afternoon and it's just stupid. The more I see Iverson, the less I like him. You think he's a good guy, but he's essentially whining about how hard it is.

Allen, stop right there - you're a rich, famous person with things everyone would love to have. Do you have to worry about paying the bills? Do you have to worry about paying your finances or pay off your loans? No, so stop acting like you have it so tough.

Default Allen Iverson... The Answer???

Ok, I am completely fed up with Iverson's comments bout himself being the best player on his team and in the NBA. Ok, granted he is the best player on his team, but we already know that he doesn't have to stress that point anymore. Best player in the NBA??? Does the best player in the NBA shoot bout 37 percent every year??

I can't stand his comments nor his actions on the court. I can't see how Larry Brown has managed to deal with this situation for 5 long years.

And for his catchy name "The Answer", looks more like "The Question." And the question being.... why does Iverson talk so much??? Answer..... cause that makes his game look better.

I don't know which post it is, but I posted a good deal about shooting percentages.

Iverson simply thinks he's above the system - he thinks he's too good for practice or hard work in the summer. The fact of the matter is he needs to bulk up and put some work in this summer so his body can absorb all those blows he takes. Otherwise, he'll be hurt next year as he has every year in the league.

I think Allen is a great player and does have alot of potiental, but his problem is his attitude. Larry Brown is a old school coach and Allen is the new school "bad ass" so to speak and sometimes things dont work out. Iverson being the best player in the NBA? I dont think he can surpass Kobe, Shaq or Duncan but I think he's up there in Top 5.

Iverson is on a team that allows him to take all of the shots and handle the ball, but despite being responsible for so much he refuses to go to practice. He should realize that to be the best you have to make the people around you better. The only thing his teamates are getting better at is rebounding the 65% of the shots he misses. Iverson believes that he is the team, but if winning really mattered to him he would go to practice with the team and learn other ways to win besides throwing more and more shots up.

WittyOne, great points made and i totally agree with you. And winning matters to him only if he is in the spotlight. And i don't know what you guys think, but i would love to see a game where he took shots that were made available to him by plays which the team actually ran. If he can't shoot a better percentage then someone needs to put the strap down on this kid so it will better the team.
