What do you mean? Missing out on Moss or their draft picks? Not the sexiest draft I was hoping for Marshawn Lynch but they filled holes in getting a DT, RB, S, WR, and TE. The RB they drafted basically only had a good half-season, so it's a big gamble, but he's from Nebraska (like Ahman Green).

Anyway, Cleveland ended up pretty lucky. They got a stud OT AND Quinn. I think Russell is going to be an absolute stud. And props to the Raiders for cleaning house and getting rid of Moss. RB Michael Bush could be a huge steal if he is fully healthy. His injury (vs. my Kentucky team last season) plummeted his status, but prior to that, he was a Heisman candidate. So the Raiders did well, too.

Bush is not going to be anything special next season unless Oakland's line play gets markedly better. The Raiders acquired some good talent but they have done little to address one of the worst o-lines in football this offseason.

But how come there was no mention anywhere of Reid calling Correll Buckhalter to reassure him that there was "nothing to worry about" because Tony Hunt was drafted?

If a Kevin Kolb Era is about to begin, it will come not a nanosecond too soon, so far as I'm concerned.

Let McNabb replace Rosie O'Donnell on The View.

I'm a Kolb fan. Donovan McNabb needs to go to Atlanta and replace the dog fighting Vick.

Or Minnesota, where he could be reunited with Brad Childress - that's assuming that Childress still has his job nine months from now, which I would most emphatically not bet on.

I agree. Not a lot of flash in the Pack's draft, but they filled all their needs. Time will tell if Clowney or James Jones can start, but Brandon Jackson from Nebraska clearly has the skills to split time with Morency right away. I was initially upset with the Harrell pick, but any time you get a skilled 310 lb athlete with leadership abilities, the only question for me is: Is he healthy? If Harrell is healthy, that could be a great pick. Ted Thompson or Mike McCarthy was quoted as saying he was upset with "some things that didn't happen", which to me probably means a trade... possibly a Moss trade. Surprised that the Pack passed on Dwayne Bowe (1st) and Sidney Rice (2nd), but I can't call them sure things anyway.... who's to say Clowney can't be just as good?

Eh... not sure how good it is when the first line reads:
Quote:
The Raiders haven't had a franchise quarterback in years. Russell could be the answer, especially if he can get the ball to Randy Moss.
LOL

Speaking of draft, a report came out today saying the NFL is considering spread the draft out to three days, moving the first round to primetime Friday night. I wouldn't be opposed to this and it's a good business decision. But considering it took six hours this year, that's an awful long primetime. Might as well truly make it a draft weekend...

I can't sit there and watch the draft.... I like to wake up around noon (hawaii time) when the first 22 have already been drafted. I cant sit there for 15 minutes bored out of my mind... I wish they could speed it up some.. but that's obviously out of the question

I agree. I like to tune in once an hour or so. If it was on Friday night, I'd skip the whole thing until Saturday.

I only watch the draft for Kansas City's first round selection, and then I just wait and read about the rest of the draft either on the internet or in the newspaper.

I am not sure how that would work unless they trimmed the allotted time down to 10 minutes. They would almost have to start the thing at 6:00 just so the thing would not go off at two in the morning.

the draft is the perfect tivo event. if you can avoid hearing anything about it, it would be wonderful to tape it and FF at your leisure. I can only watch brady quinn's shocked expression so many times...
