Yeah, dhav, looks like you'll earn a cool 2 points....

I'm back in th winner's circle with 3 this week, though. I miscalled KSU-Nebraska and was 6 points off Auburn-Georgia, you were 9 points off.

I was surprised, as I went through everybody's picks quickly, how everybody got eliminated from 1st place contention in two games: WVU-Pitt (only three or four picked WVU) and MSU-Wisconsin (same three or four picked Wisconsin).

I picked your West Virginia Mountaineers but I screwed up big time on Michigan State.

Ah, my mighty Mountaineers... They had me quivering through the first half, and then utterly dominated Pitt in a scary way in the second half. The defensive adjustment I could actually see on TV was that WVU started bringing a linebacker on every down. Pitt's O line was completely incapable of picking up the rush backer, and Rutherford was consternated the entire second half, because more often than not, that rush backer was getting to him, making him scramble, sacking, or making him throw harder than he wanted. It was awesome.

The thing that bugged me about Barnett & Curry's coverage is that they never really noted the defensive adjustments that WVU made. They talked about adjustments in a general way, NEVER discussed whether the coverage on Fitzgerald had changed, and only after Rutherford's third sack, which came in the early 4th quarter, did they note that WVU's rush had changed, but didn't try to describe it or analyze it. Very disappointing outing for these two to me. They got obsessed with security, and forgot there was a game being played.

Wahoo!! Better than a one-week lead. I like where this is headed...

Question: Is the final at regular season's end, with a new contest for Bowl Season, or is a combined final?

Like Nick said, the bowl period will be treated as another week, with your bowl record being added to your overall record and points awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

I think the bowl week should count for double points because there are so many more games, but that is just my opinion. Or you could make all the non-BCS bowls one week and the BCS bowls another.

Not to be impatient, but where are the games for Saturday??? I usually do my picks on Thursday, and there are no picks yet to make.
