Default Bama's Top 10 Pro Football Rankings Week 4

.Indianapolis Colts-(4-0)-The Colts rallied and beat the NY Jets, 31-28 in NY. With just 2:20 seconds to go in the game, QB Peyton Manning led his team down the field, and scored on an one yard run to win the game for his team. Whew that was close! Manning completed 21 of 30 passes for 217 yards and one TD. WR Marvin Harrison caught seven passes for 79 yards. Rookie RB Joseph Addai out of LSU rushed for 84 yards on 20 carries and scored one rushing TD. Colts LB's Cato June and Gary Brackett led the defense with 13 tackles. The Colts had 10 penalties for 64 yards. Not good for any team. Next game oct. 8th against the Tennessee Titans in Indy.

.Chicago Bears-(4-0)-The Bears crushed the Seattle Seahawks, 37-6 in Chicago on Sunday night. Even though the Seahawks were without the services of RB Shaun Alexander, the Bears look like a playoff bound team. Chicago starts the season 4-0. Something they haven't done since 1991. QB Rex Grossman looks like a seasoned veteran. Grossman completed 17 of 31 for 232 yards and two TD's. WR Bernard Berrian caught three passes for 108 yards and one TD. Berrian caught a 40 yard TD in the fourth quarter. RB Thomas Jones rushed for 98 yards on 24 carries and scored two TD's. On defense for Chicago LB Lance Briiggs had 10 tackles. The Bears defense had five sacks on the day. Also, CB Ricky Manning Jr. had two INT's on the day. FKG Robbie Gould was excellent as ever hitting three field goals in Sunday's win. Next game Oct. 8th against the Buffalo Bills in Chicago.

.Philadelphia Eagles-(3-1)- The Eagles beat Green Bay, 31-9 in Philadelphia. QB Donovan McNabb threw for 288 yards while completing 16 of 30 passes and two TD's. McNabb also scored two rushing TD's. WR Greg Lewis caught two passes for 75 yards and two TD's. WR Reggie Brown caught three passes for 63 yards. LB Matt McCoy led the Eagles defense with seven tackles. Next game Oct. 8th against the Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia.

.Baltimore Ravens-(4-0)-The Ravens beat the San Diego Chargers, 16-13 in Baltimore. Great test for a great Ravens defense. LB Bart Scott led his team with 15 tackles. Busy little rascal. He now has 33 on the year. Baltimore ranks second in overall defense in the NFL, allowing 219.0 yds per game in the NFL. Believe it or not, San Diego still ranks first. QB Steve McNair rallied his team for the second week in a row to win the game. With 34 second left in the game McNair threw a 10 yard TD to TE Todd Heap to win the game. Heap had 60 yards receiving in the entire game. Next game Oct. 9th against the Denver Broncos in Denver. That will be a tough game for both teams.

.Denver Broncos-(2-1)-The Broncos enjoyed a bye this past weekend. They face the undefeated Baltimore Colts Oct. 9th on MNF. Denver's defense ranks 17th overall in the NFL. Their offense ranks 15th. Even though their stats aren't great I believe this will be a good football team this year. I'm very anxious to see how they perform against Baltimore's stingy defense at home.

.New England Patriots-(3-1)-The Patriots ripped the Cincinnati Bengals, 38-13 in Cincinnati. Rookie RB Lawrence Maroney had a big day. Rushing for 125 yards on 15 carries and scored two TD's. RB Corey Dillon rushed for 67 yards and one TD. WR Doug Gabriel caught four passes for 57 yards and one TD. The Pat's offense had 26 first downs compared to 17 for Cincinnati. LB Tedy Bruschi led the Pat's defense with seven tackles. Good to have him healthy. Bruschi is playing in his 11th year in the NFL. Next game Oct. 8th against the Miami Dolphins at New England.

.San Diego Chargers-(2-1)-The Chargers lost to Baltimore, 16-13 in Baltimore. WR Antonio Gates caught four passes for 41 yards and no TD's. RB LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 98 yards on 27 carries. The Chargers have the number one overall defense in the NFL, allowing just 184.3 yards per game. Chargers LB Shaun Phillips led the defense with seven tackles and had one sack on the day. Next game Oct. 8th against the Pittsburgh Steelers in San Diego.

.Cincinnati Bengals-(3-1)-The Bengals were embarrassed by the New England Patriots, 38-13 at home in Cincinnati. QB Carson Palmer was sacked four times and lost a couple of second-half fumbles to the Pat's defense. He did completed 20 of 35 passes for 245 yards. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh an up and becoming receivers in the NFL caught four passes for 95 yards. RB Rudi Johnson rushed for 65 yards on 14 carries and scored one rushing TD. Johnson ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing, with 353 yards. The Bengals offense only came up with 279 total net yards in their loss. LB Caleb Miller led the Cincinnati defense with 13 tackles. The Bengals enjoy a bye this coming week. They will need the rest. Next game Oct. 16th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa.

.Atlanta Falcons-(3-1)-The Falcons beat the Arizona Cardinals, 32-10 in Atlanta. For the third time in four games, the Falcons defense didn't allow a TD. CB DeAngelo Hall returned a pass interception for a 36 yard TD in the third quarter. Atlanta QB Michael Vick completed 13 of 22 for 153 yards, but rushed for 101 yards. His longest run was a 32 yarder. The Falcons have the number one rushing offense in the NFL, averaging 234.3 yards per game. WR Ashley Lelie caught two passes for 61 yards. The Atlanta defense ranks sixth overall in the NFL. The Falcons enjoy a bye this coming week. Rest them legs boys. Next game Oct. 16th against the New York Giants in Atlanta.

.Seattle Seahawks-(3-1)-The Seahawks were crushed by the Chicago Bears, 37-6 in Chicago. I never expected this, but Seattle was without Pro Bowl runner Shaun Alexander. RB Maurice Morris rushed for only 35 yards on the day. The Seahawks offense ranks 22nd overall in the NFL. They must improve that significantly to win their division. Seattle LB Lofa Tatupa led the defense with 11 tackles. He has 34 on the season. Kickoff returner Wille Ponder returned seven kicks for 167 yards. The Seahawks enjoy a bye this week. They return to action on Oct. 15th against the St. Louis Rams in St. Louis.
