Default Things are Changing for Me

Many of you know my dad recently had a stroke. He is doing better and I appreciate everybody's concern and good wishes. The family has really been torn apart by dad's illness for some reason. I will be leaving my family's home tomorrow to move somewhere else here in Mobile. I'm really going through a tough time. My dad's illness revealed a lot to me about certain members of my family that disgusts me to be honest. I have been driven from my home for reasons I can't really explain. My mother and I are really at odds and she is really angry that my dad is now the center of attention due to his decling health. I hate to talk about my mother in an open forum, but you guys really mean a lot to me and I really value your opinion, especially Marc, Catman, Nate, The J and so forth.

My own health is decling rapidly. I have acute diabetes, liver disease, thyroid problems, and high blood pressure. But I still love life and I than God for every day i have.

I may not be able to contribute much in the next month or so as I have been. I will not have the use of a computer for a while. I must now go to an internet cafe to use one and pay for.

I'm really just venting and I appreciate you guys listening or reading this. I just don't know where life is taking me right now. i have a lot of soul searching to do in the weeks ahead. As most of you know I love baseball and I will until the day I die. I have been a diehard fan since 1964. Yes I'm ancient lol

I have been fortunate enough to see players like Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Carl Yastremski, Johnny Bench, Pete Rose and so on play. I have witnessed every World Series since 1964. I really enjoyed the early 70's when the Oakland Athletics ruled baseball with Reggie Jackson, Joe Rudi, Sal Bando and Catfish Hunter. Then in the mid to late 70's it was the Big Red Machine with Rose, Bench, Morgan, Foster and Concepcion.

I have always been an Atlanta Bravs fans since they came to Atlanta in 1966. I immediately idolized catcher Joe Torre for some reason. Those were the good old days, but the Braves were really an awful team in the 60's and 70's and late 80's.

I am proud of them winning the 1995 World Series against Cleveland, another team I really enjoy watching.

I am not a New York Yankees fan but they have played superb baseball in the 90's and into the new millenium.

I will still be participating on the forum, but just not as much. I really value everyone's opinion rather I agree with you or not.

God bless you and your family and may God bless America forever. Keep me in your prayers please for those that believe in prayer. Thank you. Keith:goof:

Keith, thanks for the updates. I'm sorry to hear about your health problems - I think you just have to keep a positive attitude and have a real healthy diet and lifestyle. Get plenty of exercise and stay active, as temping as computers can be. I'm flattered to hear your friends you've made here make your day brighter, it's a pleasure to host your conversations here.

Kieth, you have my e-mail address, or will soon. Or you can send me PMs through these boards. Do not hesitate to ask any medical, or personal questions. I have seen situations such as you are facing occasionally, and they are quite unpleasant for everyone involved. I hope that you and your family can iron out all of your problems and that things will be better soon.
But, possibly more importantly, you need to be certain to take care of YOU, also. I, too am going through some trying times, as my wife has breast cancer and is currently undergoing a series of chemo therapy treatments.
My best wishes are with you and yours, and I hope to see you get back to some semblence of normalcy soon.
Good luck to you and keep in touch.

Thanks everybody and u especially Catman. Hey I got the preliminary test back on my MRi for my painful back. Preliminary tests show a degenerative disc and a bulging disc. But the worse could yet be to come. I hope not-he will have the final results Thursday.

The doc did a nerve test on my legs and it took a little over 30 minutes. The charge was 1,200 dollars. Crazy, plus I had to pay a 25.00 co-pay. After the test the doc tells me I probably have just arthrisis in my legs. He could have told me that before the test lol Poor insurance companies are getting ripped. I have Medicare Complete.
