Thumbs down Some NBA players with real class, NOT!

Check this story from our friends at ESPN.com. Terrible and disgraceful, I can't believe these married men with families would do such things. It's pitiful.

In addition to Patrick Ewing, John Starks and Antonio Davis have commented during the Gold Club trial.

After his name came up in court, Davis filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Thomas Sicignano for saying Davis had sex with Gold Club dancers. Davis called the claims "malicious lies."

Also, an attorney for Starks told CNN in June that Starks, if called to testify, would confirm he had sex with Gold Club strippers "a long time ago" before he "re-dedicated his life to Christ."

Any time you are dealing with young adult males who have fame and money, you are going to see this kind of stuff. While it is not EVERY man that is this way, most young men are easily influence/controlled by their libido.

It's all a part of how mother nature designed us.

The truly unfortunate part is when it is older men and/or married men.

I wish the media would just leave these situations out of the news.... I mean, who really wants to hear about it??.... this happens every day to people that we have NO CLUE who they are..... I don't want to hear it.... does anyone else really want to?? no, I don't think so.... why can't people just leave these guys' personal lives alone.... I guess it's all part of the job, though....

true, we don't need to hear it. But the media would do anything for a story.

True Nick.

But, this just looks bad. I mean, I'll be rich some day, and I won't be doing this.

True, very true. Especially if it happened while they were married. But can they be upset if it happened before they were married?

Unfortunately many women do. My husband was in the Navy for nine years before we met. I certainly don't see any reason for being upset over something that's natural and happened before we even knew each other!

Frankly its a measure of their character if they go behind their spouse's back. That's true for both genders. But I can't be surprised by their actions.

I agree that this is really none of our business. It is the business of the court however when it involves the kind of charges that are being put forth. It's only more dirty laundry to the news agencies.

I was in the hospital for a week and a half (was discharged today). On Fox News all they could talk about was Chandra Levy as though there was nothing else going on in the world. Sheesh!!

Well, now that I've gone very thoroughly off topic, I think I'll return this to our regularly scheduled basketball discussion.

Default What's SO wrong with it?

I'm not really condoning this, but think about it. There's millions of people every year who use these clubs. Nobody talks about Joe Shmoe who goes to the club every night and throws away his money there. Why are we making such a big deal about people's personal business?

Besides, a number of these professional athletes took up these services BEFORE they were married. Nothing's too wrong with that.

YES!!!!!.... that's exaclty my point.... only in better words than what I did it in earlier on!!!... EXACTLY -- "Why are we making such a big deal about people's personal business?"..... because the media has nothing better to do.... does anyone REALLY want to hear about it?

We don't know for a fact they were all not married. And face it, when you're a big sports star, you're going to be in the spotlight in the things you do. I personally find this story pretty funny.
