Default Ron Artest

Surprised nobody has started a thread on this. What do folks think about his latest escapade? I think he has to be one of the most selfish human beings alive to do what he did. Did he actually think in his own warped version of reality that the team was going to give arguably its best player a whole month of during the season?

Come on Ron that is what July, August, and September are for. It is not like he was over in Greece playing in the Olympics. You don't see AI, Tim Duncan, LeBron, or Dwayne Wade complainging about fatigue do you? The reasoning for him begging out of games is absolutely absurd. He is worn out because he is promoting some crappy rap album that probably will not make him anywhere near the amount of money he makes playing basketball.

Here is a guy whom the Pacers are looking to be a franchise player and be a team leader and he is putting the release of a rap album ahead of the good of a team that has a chance to get to the Finals this year. One can only wonder what Reggie Miller thinks of this. One wonders if the compromising the integrity of the team was when Reggie found out about it.

I absolutely love how, in an interview with ESPN, he starts rattling off all of these injuries he is playing with now. You know what Ron go tell it to AI who takes twice a beating as you do and manages to be amongst league leaders in minutes played ever single year. Like him or not one has to recognize AI's heart on the court.

Artest's response of I don't know what that means when asked about Rick Carlisle's comments that he compromised the integrity of the team is to be expected from someone who obviously has very little of it to spare.

Thanks but no thanks, Joshua...

I'm not interested in the inner workings of the narcistic mind of an NBA player....

As far as his album, I have better places to waste my money....

Default Ron Artest

I can think of no better way to heal the aches and pains of being a professional athlete than to sit in a recording studio and rap. I bet that's better than three days in a whirlpool.

I don't know what Artest's problem is now. He asked for time off and got it; maybe he just didn't realize it would be on the bench and not at home. I'm sure he'll rap about this situation on his next album, which I'm sure will go aluminum.

Artest is a bad seed and Indiana would do themselves some good to ditch him while he still has value. Artest will continue to become and even bigger team cancer and hold back a Pacers team that should contend with Detroit for the division and top seed in the East. If Artest continues to be a "me first" player, none of those objectives will happen.

Regardless of how good defensively he is, they should get rid of him. When he chooses promoting your rap album over playing than you can tell him you can have all the time you want to promote your rap album and make more if you want.

Apparenly, his salary isn't enough for him so he need to make more. If you really want to make a rap album and promote it, do it during the off season.

I wonder if this incident pushes them closer to making the rumored Artest for Peja trade as Sac-Town is sucking it up right now and may need to make a move like this to shake things up.

That trade would be smart for the Kings since they should get some defense.

Well, that and Peja has no real desire to be there anymore.

Just another example of selfish multi millionaires with bags of talent and no brain. The NBA seem's a wash with this type of player.
