Default Bills Ink T.O. To A One Year Deal

Owens inks 1-year, $6.5M deal with Bills

It didn't take long for T.O. to find a new home.
Terrell Owens has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to a source.

"I'm leaving America's team [for] North America's team," Owens said at a news conference in Buffalo on Saturday. The entire contract is guaranteed, the source said.

The Bills will be Owens' fourth team, after starting with San Francisco, bouncing to Philadelphia -- where he helped the Eagles get to a Super Bowl -- and Dallas.

Can't go wrong with that deal. TO brings talent & usually has a relatively 'quiet' 1st year before he wears thin on people.

Wish the Bears would have been smart enough to get involved...

Never saw this coming in a million years. I'm surprised T.O. would sign for just one year. And he hardly fits in with Buffalo's blue-collar culture. But he'll probably improve the team before inevitable destructing them.

One year is all TO was going to get. He is reaching the age that most receivers begin to significantly decline and he showed some signs of slowing down a bit this year. Jerry Rice is about the only WR to have Pro Bowl caliber seasons past the age of 35.

T.O. got his #81 in Buffalo, it was reported today. He took it from another receiver who had it, forget his name. No surprise, but kinda interesting; I wonder if the guy was compensated or just gave it up.

Am I the only one who believes that Buffalo's chances of drafting a QB in the first round (i.e., Mark Sanchez) have gone up exponentially with the signing of T.O.?

For even the tandem of T.O. and Lee Evans probably can't make a silk purse out of the sow's ear that is Trent Edwards; and I'm also wondering whether T.O. and Dick Jauron is a match made in heaven, or "the other place."
