What is the point, though? The Top 25 is a nice number we have, and anyone outside it is not really good enough to matter on a national level.

But shouldn't it matter whether you're #26 or #120?

And there should be shame attached to being below average, or being the worst team in the country - or don't people use terms like "second division" and "cellar" any more?

It's high time we got back to that, and junked the culture of narcissism we have inhabited - not only in the world of sports but in the world at large - for the past several decades.

No. Because you still suck. This is a dumb idea IMO because who really cares about teams that are not in the top ten?

Lets be real... you can rank how nice turds look all you want but at the end of the day they are all still crap - ya know?

The problem with this is that we already know that most of the voters who vote in the AP, USA Today, etc. polls don't even really watch or follow that closely all of the ranked teams to begin with. After you get past the top 10 to 15 it becomes rather arbitrary anyway. I would bet all this guy does is just check scores and figures out how to shuffle teams around based on that and has no clue what factors went into how a team won or lost a game.

What's the point? Especially that poll. 0-6, now 0-7, Washington ahead of 4-3, now 4-4, Kansas State? Washington is f'in terrible.

A few publications do this, for fun more than anything. SI does it. No harm, no foul.
