Well both Todd McShay and Mel Kiper have them taking Brandon Flowers, so you very well may end up being correct.

Daunte Culpepper just visited with the Packers today. Well, if you ask for a veteran backup QB, ...

I really hope they land Culpepper. While he hasn't shown much for a few years, he's about as good a back up as the Packers are going to find and provides a much nicer insurance policy as a back up QB than a rookie. Personally, I'm expecting Rodgers to miss 2 or 3 games this season so the back up has to be ready to step in in a pinch and potentially in the middle of the play off race.

In an ironic twist, maybe Rodgers is in a good position. Everyone expects him to be injury-prone and disappoint, so the expectations aren't that high. If he comes out and performs like the first-round pick he was, he'll surprise many.

Nope. As always, TT goes with picking the BPA, even though it's a player at his team's deepest position, WR. Jordy Nelson really looks like a stud, which makes me wonder if the Packers plan to move him to corner. He's probably physical enough, and I think he has enough speed, and seems to have the football smarts to make the transition.

If this is the case, I love the pick. Otherwise, it's OK, even though I don't think he'll make much of an impact this year, because the Packers WR's go DEEP

edit- After looking at his bio, I'm thinking he's going to DB, as he played it in HS, and moved from DB to WR as a redshirt sophomore

Glad the Packers didn't pick him up.

Seeing someone in a Packer uniform doing that retarded-looking
arm rolling thing would probably make me wretch.

Here's an interesting stat.

After having the QB with the record shattering 253-straight
games played...

The Packers have 3 QB's who have a grand total of 2 games
of experience in the NFL.

But is anybody else in their division significantly better off at QB?

The Lions are probably the only team where you would say their QB would probably start on every other team in the division.
