Default Xavier Henry vs. John Wall

These two freshman sensations lead the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the country. John Wall just set UK's assist record for a single game with 16: Hartford Hawks vs. Kentucky Wildcats - Recap - December 29, 2009 - ESPN

He knows when to push the gas down and score, and when to defer to teammates. I am so impressed with Wall, a sure-fire No. 1 pick who could very well lead UK to a title (14-0 now). I haven't seen Henry play much yet, but he's also very impressive. Who do you all take?

It is over now. Wall is going to blow his knee out and Kentucky will descend back to mediocrity faster than you can blink an eye.

I'm sure many would love that, but the truth is we're going undefeated. Suck on that.

I doubt it. There will be a game where they hit a hiccup or Wall gets in foul trouble in the second half and the team goes to pieces without him out there.

17-0 now. This team is not all reliant on Wall. Last night, freshman Bledsoe had 25. See, the thing about Kentucky is we're two-deep with point guards with Wall and Bledsoe, and two deep in big men in Cousins and Orton. Then you have Patterson. Wall takes over when he needs to, but it's FAR from a one-man team.

Dude, I don't know, the couple of times I have watch Kentucky play they seem completely lost out there.

Bledsoe scoring 25 is all well and good but Wall played in the game did he not?

Kentucky would probably be on UNC's level right now without Wall.

Whatever. 18-0, I'll let that speak for itself. Sure, Kentucky goes for stretches where they play lost because they are young and still haven't mastered the concept of putting an opponent away. But on the whole, they are very good even when Wall is not the focus of the offense. Part of Wall's brilliance is he makes others better and is not trying to overdo it.

Some interesting controversy with Wall and Calipari: Kentucky freshman John Wall says post-Vandy comments were just sign of frustration - ESPN

It's really nothing, but Wall hasn't been his self since the SI cover. Been overshadowed by Cousins lately. Calipari says he's struggling with struggling. Bet Wall's never been criticized before, so he's showing his inexperience. I think it'll all work out...

While it sounds controversial, the NCAA will give a green to John Wall anyway because you can't really bring up obvious prima facie proving that it is a clear-cut violation - plus the kid is a good marketing item that it is too good to pass up lol.
