I'm going with Arizona. This team is very injury-prone and has a ton of holes to fill. Plus, they don't have the fans behind them.

I think the Cowboys are there, also.

I think Dallas will finish with the worst record. Just cuz I live in Big D doesn't mean I hate the Cowboys. I say they go 2-14.

Default Schedules Play A Big Role In All This

My vote (already cast) was "for" San Francisco, even though I doubt very much that the 49ers have the worst personnel in the league. But their schedule is going to kill them this year: Not only did six of their eight 2001 out-of-division opponents finish .500 or better in 2000 (and remember that the 49ers have lost 14 consecutive games to .500 or better teams, most of them by lopsided scores), but their two games against losing teams outside the NFC West - Dallas and Chicago - are both on the road, meaning that, from a pre-season vantage point, they will be underdogs in all eight of their non-division games despite their near-respectable 6-10 record a year ago.

And notice that I didn't even include New England, San Diego, Chicago or Atlanta as options in the poll; this is because all four of these teams have fifth-place schedules, and it is almost impossible to play such a schedule and end up with the worst overall record. As far as Arizona and Dallas go, the Cowboys probably have slightly more talent, but the Cardinals have an easier schedule.

I picked Cincinnati, I think this year they take the crown, and keep it for a long time.

And why are the Seahwaks on their? They're gonna contend next year!!!!

No way! They have an unproven QB and an aging RB in Rickey Watters.

Default The Seasickhawks

In addition to having "an unproven QB (that's putting it charitably!) and an aging RB in Ricky Watters" as Marc so correctly points out, the Seahawks also have a tough schedule (another necessary ingredient for having a shot at the worst record) as their non-division slate includes games against Miami, Buffalo, Jacksonville, the New York Giants, Philadelphia and Washington - all of whom, until proven otherwise, must be considered as having clearly superior personnel to Seattle's.

And one comment on the realignment must be made: Starting in 2002 the Rams will have the Seahawks, Cardinals and 49ers as division "rivals." Paul Tagliabue must have owed Georgia Frontiere a favor somewhere!

Anthony,

You don't know what your talking about. :no way: :no way:

Have you any idea who they signed/drafted in the offseason? :

Levon Kirkland- 86 tackles, 1 INT

John Randle- 26 tackles, 8 sacks, 2 forced fumbles

Chad Eaton- 78 tackles, 2 blocked kicks, 3 sacks, 2 FF

Marcus Robertson- 72 tackles, 3 FF

And thats just the defense.....

On the draft board:

WR Koren Robinson

FB Heath Evans

QB Josh Booty

OG Steve Hutchinson

Plus, they got Matt Hasselback, unproven you say?

Well occording to you he's unproven because you have never seen him as a starter. And if Holmgren see'd something in him, he's gotta be good. And if he doesn't cut it, they have Josh Booty and, although I absolutley despise him, Brock Huard. You just watch!!

Oh, you mean just like he saw something in John Kitna?
