Default Best f-ball league comes to America One

The best football league in the entire world has reached a television deal with America One TV, which is based in Houston, but has 130 affiliates around the United States.

That's right! -- starting September 3, 2001, the Canadian Football League is broadcasting games in the United States of America!! The deal begins with coverage of the annual Labour Day Classic games this upcoming Monday, and will show up to 10 games every Saturday for the rest of the season, followed by taped replays on Sunday nights. Additionally, the playoffs are planned to be broacasted on AOTV, starting November 11, continuing on November 18, and finishing on November 25 with the Grey Cup championship game from Montreal, PQ.

(full story: TSN.ca)

How popular is America One TV??... do a lot of people get it?... more importantly, do YOU all get it??... I'm really interested to see what your thoughts are about OUR brand of football -- good or bad. Hopefully you call can tune in on Monday afternoon for the re-debut of CFL football on U.S. TV..... I'm not sure which game they'd broadcast, but either way, it will be an exciting contest, as the same games are ALWAYS played on Labour Day Monday -- Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger Cats (two Ontario-based teams), and Calgary Stampeders vs. Edmonton Eskimos (two Alberta-based teams).

AmericaOne? Huh?

Well, it's good the CFL is coming to America... I mean, I'm all for it expanding and being successful, but isn't the Canadian Football League supposed to remain in Canada?

I've got my football fix right now with NFL and college football.

I haven't heard of America One either. I don't know if I'd watch it...would have to see a game first, then decide. But I'm pretty sure we don't get America One, so I don't see much chance in that happening.

It IS remaining in Canada -- we aren't expanding to Baltimore and Seattle again like in the mid-90s!.... the CFL is trying to expand its viewership.... you all dont' know what we're about, so, at the very least, you should give the league a chance -- like the 10.8 rating of the opening XFL game!!! :uhoh:

...I talked to Rick on MSN, and he doesn't get this channel either.... what kind of TV station is this, that no one gets it!?????

I don't know what "America One" is either, but there are affiliates, which may suggest that America One may be syndicated.
