Default Foxsports Predicts victory for Kentucky against UTEP

Check it out Marc: Came off of Foxsports predictions

UTEP vs. Kentucky
Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. ET
Why to watch: Coming off a huge win over Louisville, Kentucky wants to keep the momentum going. UTEP started the season off strong with an easy win over DI-AA Cal State Sacramento and is trying to get back to the form that made it such a strong team in 2000. Both teams are extremely confident right now and both have solid passing attacks.

One reason why UTEP might win: What happens if Kentucky is still basking in the glow over the Louisville win? UTEP QB Jon Schaper looked sharp last week and if the offensive line can, unlike Louisville's, keep its quarterback upright, the Miners should be able to move the ball.

One reason why Kentucky might win: Can the Miners get to UK QB Jared Lorenzen at all? The 275-300 pound quarterback is bigger than every player on the UTEP D line (and 4/5ths of the UTEP O line) and should be able to operate without much of a problem. UTEP is trying to play a more aggressive style of D, but it won't get to Lorenzen.

Matchup to watch: UK RB Artose Pinner vs. the UTEP LBs. Pinner is an underrated talent and ran hard against Louisville. UTEP's Robert Rodriguez is a star and needs to keep Pinner from controlling the ball and the game.

What will happen: It'll all be about pressure. Kentucky will get to Schaper while Lorenzen needs to be forced out of the pocket. If the Wildcat D can play the inspired brand of ball it did against Louisville, UK wins in a walk.

Must Watch Rating (5 must see - 1 be the fourth person to see The Adventures of Pluto Nash): 2

Line: NASA line Kentucky -19 | Oasis line Kentucky -19

CFN Prediction: Kentucky 38 ... UTEP 17

UK is up by 25 at the half (listening to it online, thank God!) and Lorenzen already has 4 TD passes! Backup QB Shane Boyd came in for one play and ran for 43 yards! Top 25, here we come!

Talking Kentucky Squeaks By UTEP 77-17 lol

Kentucky 2-0. Man oh man-Congratulations Marc on a great victory for your team-I am even proud of them. Qb Jared"I'm not that fat" Lorenzen completed 11-18 for 229 yards, but five touchdowns passes. Way to go Wildcats. Even their running game was good. Artose Pinner gained 121 yards on 16 carries and he scored one TD. Do you smell a SEC Title lol WR Derek Abney caught three passes for 79 yards and a TD. I think everyone on offense scored. Kentucky had 605 total net yards on offense lo, I bet they lead the nation in offense right now. Seriously! Marc way to go!

Jared Lorenzon is going to be a great NFL quarterback, he just needs to change his number.

The weekly Kentucky updates, while commical, need to be stopped. I think there is like two people who care.

Kentucky may win around 5 games or so now....anything over that would be a bonus!
