Ok, is this only for current players who are starting and not injuried? Because if this poll was taken before the season started everyone would have Kurt Warner in their top 5! And even with his struggles this season....I still think Warner is a top 12 QB in the league. So, what am I missing here? Is this only for 12 players who are currently playing....because everyone has forgotten about Warner....did he fall off the map that fast?

I think Vick is gonna be one of the greatest QB's of all time. But he's not as good as Farve.... yet

You would think by watching ESPN and othr sports highlights shows, Vick is a one man machine. Having gotten the chnace now to watch the better part of 5 of his games, he is definitely made to look real good by ESPN and the likes. But the reality is, he is presently terrible on sitting in the pocket and throwing with accuracy. More often then not, he vacates the pocket far to e arly not even giving his receivers a chance to run there routes. But he will every game make one play that will leave everyone amazed. And that is what we see in the highlight shows. We dont see the other things. He actually spends most of the game at this point, not doing much of anything. Great highlight reel he is, but far from a great QB...yet. But I agree I think in another year or two, this guy might turn out to be great.

Joey your right about Warner, thats a good question.

1. Favre
2. Garcia
3. Gannon
4. Bledsoe
5. Manning
6. Brady
7. Brooks
8. Griese
9. Green
10. Vick
11. Brees
12. McNair

I think Warner's not on the list because of the way King phrased his question: "I mean, right now, if you had to pick the 12 quarterbacks playing the best this year, who would they be?"

I'd recommend checking out the link; it's pretty good stuff.

Also, #47, McNabb doesn't make your list but Drew Brees does?

8 guys are on all of our lists so far: Bledsoe, Brady, Brooks, Favre, Gannon, Garcia, Manning, and Vick. McNair and McNabb were on 5 of the 6.

At the beginning of the year, I wouldn't have had Bledsoe, Brady, or Vick in my top 12.

Your right Brad I totally overlooked and forgot about McNabb, my bad. I would have put him in there at #7 and moved the rest down.

I'm going to get trashed for this, but, despite the injury, the not starting right now, etc., I'm gonna say it, since I've been saying it to myself for three & a half years now:

Kurt Warner is a fluke.

Yeah, that's right a fluke.

Well Gannon is a old quarterback. Nothing too amazing I see in him. He's still good though don't get me wrong Tom Brady is still a maturing QB who is getting better and better, and I honestly think Brian Griese has improved himself the most and is better out of the two right now. Now explain to me how you could put him #1 above McNabb, Bledsoe and Favre?

I'll explain it for him! Because maybe Gannon has a higher QB rating than all of them, has more passing yardages than all of them them, and completes more passes than all of hem.

What about the bottom five quarterbacks? Among those currently starting, they are:

1. Koy Detmer - head and shoulders below the rest!
2. Chad Hutchinson
3. Ray Lucas
4. Matt Hasselbeck
5. Whoever Steve Spurrier's "designated starter" is this week.
