Talking Do you play sports?

How many of you also play sports as well as being a fan?

I don't play anything on teams (got interested in different sports too late, can't make it onto any now, although I did try out for the grade 8 basketball team oh so many years ago), but I do play with friends. Football and basketball mostly, possibly some tennis. I also golf and play badminton at the cottage.

I think we might've discussed this already, but that's OK -- we can do it again!!!!

I play on my High School varsity basketball team, and I play some golf, but that's it. However, I love throwing the football around for fun (actually, I'm more or a wide receiver than a QB) and playing shinny (hockey) whenever I can. I also referee minor hockey.

I've been told, however, I shoot a puck like the recently retired Ray Bourque, and throw a football like Dan Marino . . . now that's a lethal combination

BTW -- I like your new sig, Matt... hehe

Thanks Lee Sorry for posting this in the wrong forum. Can't say I've ever been in this one. Hmm.

My high school is about average when it comes to basketball. The junior team doesn't have a lot of talent, but the senior team does. If they'd just learn to play as a team they'd be better off.

My school's football team is one of the best in Ontario, and has had 6-0 records within our division for many years. Only problem is we always get stopped when we move on to the next level

I'm a good QB but a better WR. Now if only I had some better defensive skills...

I used to play driveway hockey with my brother, but I outgrew the goalie pads I suppose I could have him be the goalie, but I've always preferred being in net.

I played varsity football, basketball, and baseball all four years of high school. I played OLB and FB for the football team, PF in basketball, and 1B in baseball.

I'm out of HS now, but I'm still in a few organized leagues. Me and a few friends just started a basketball team and entered a league at our local YMCA and I play baseball in a league here in Boston. I want to get in an ice hockey league, but I'm having trouble finding one. The only one I've found is for people 21+.

I play organized rec basketball each week with people from my school. That's a whole lot of fun.

In the summer, I regularly play tennis. There's a neighborhood tennis court one house down from mine and it's usually open, which is nice.

I sometimes bike with my Raleigh m450, but there aren't too many places to bike here.

Our high school team sucks when it comes to basketball, but 3 years ago we were #3 in the province for Varsity girls... this is our first year having a guys team since I've been in high school!

What about volleyball?? Anyone play?? I hate playing but don't mind watching, and our school was #3 in the province in Varsity Boys this year.

And, yes --- being goalie in road hockey is the best!

I try to play sports. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at them. I failed to make my old High School basketball team, but I think that actually worked out for the better....

The guys basketball team at my old High School suck, and always have. They miraculously won sectionals last year, but got no further. The girls, on the other hand, were actually Indiana 3A State Champions in 1999. That was a lot of fun.

Guy's volleyball, Lee? Haven't heard too much about that. No guys team at my old HS.

Really??? Volleyball is real big in Canada! ...it by far has the most "fan support" of any sport at my school. And, both of the Winnipeg universities, the University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg, stand first and second in the CIS (Canadian equivalent of the NCAA) as of this week.

Interesting...I just discovered that my old HS's rival has a guys volleyball team, but that is the only one that I know of around here. Volleyball doesn't seem to be very popular here in Indiana.

I'm on Varsity Cross Country and Track... 3 years now for that... every now and then we get a game of soccer going on or just shoot some hoops... i swim 3 times a week(right now... next week i'll move it up to 5) but that's more of conditioning for running than for fun... surf, not as much as i used to however... um mountain bike(if you consider that a sport, i do) every once in awhile... there's this huge hill that we usually have someone drive us up, then we just jettison down... i believe it's taken us over 2 and a half hours to get to the top, riding our bikes... then just like 20 minutes to get down.... fun stuff

Talking

I play on the varsity tennis team at my high school. We've won states 6 out of the past 8 years.
I play football with friends on the weekends, it's kinda organized.
I enjoy watching the girls volleyball because they have to wear spandex
