Thumbs up Thanks Broncos for being so bad this year!

My Chiefs are pretty much holders of their own fate this year.

What a Week 13 Sunday nite debaucle that was.The Bronco defense was looking good at the beginning and very surprising. What has happened?

What happened?

The Broncos are gutless wonders and the Jay Cutler thing blew up in their faces; the win was Seattle's third in their last 15 cold-weather games.

Wouldn't it make for some high drama if Jake Plummer landed in Minnesota (where Brad Johnson was benched for the second time this season yesterday), considering that the Vikings' 2007 schedule includes a visit to Denver?

And it would be nice if "our" Chiefs would get a grip on their fate -- as opposed to losing to the Cleveland Browns in overtime.

It's gotta be an offensive thing. Defenses are stopping their rushing attack pretty well. Heck, Larry Johnson has pretty much the same output this season as both Bell's combined. In the air, Walker and Rod Smith have only 8 passing TD's and 1250 yards between them. What a headache this year must be for Shanahan.

A lot of it is, as I said in the Cutler thread, due to the Broncos not getting any production in the passing game aside from Javon Walker. In the couple of games I have seen them play Rod Smith looks like just another player in the NFL this year and I think they miss Jeb Putzier in the passing game more than they thought they would. I think Madden hit it on the head last night when he said they weren't running the ball as well as they have in the past and their recievers just are not getting separation from the defense.

Not trying to be a punk, but what does that mean, or have to do with the thread? Am I missing something?

His point is that Seattle rarely if ever wins cold weather games and if the Broncos were a legit contender then they should have rolled the 'Hawks with little effort.

I don't buy that. It's cold in Seattle from November on. Are you saying they never win at home after Nov? I guess it depends on your definition of cold. I recall them winning a few home games last year in January.

Typically a 'cold weather' game is one where the temperature at kickoff time is 40 or lower.

Actually, if memory serves, up until last season the Seahawks were notorious for folding in November and December under Holmgren.

I don't remember the end of their regular season run (didn't they beat Indy and end their winnikng streak?) But I know they did not lose in the playoffs in January - when Seattle is at its coldest (during the NFL).

Well when they beat Green Bay two Monday nights ago it was both the coldest game ever played in Seattle since the Seahawks moved out of the Kingdome, and also the first such game with snow ever.
