Default Playoffs: (4) Jazz vs. (8) Warriors

Who ya got in this one? The Jazz held off the upstart Warriors by 4 points to take Game 1, and I just get the feeling Utah will prevail in six. Baron Davis is gimpy (surprise!) and the Warriors will need him playing out of this world to win. Unlike Dallas, Utah will run with them and make open shots. Boozer is an absolute stat beast...

I think the Jazz take this as well simply because they have no answer for Carlos Boozer or Mehmet Okur in the post. You cannot get whipped the way the Warriors did on the boards and expect to win.

Jazz go up 2-0. The Warriors' downfall will be what you said, along with the fact that they have no depth. They let the Jazz come back last night, it must be inexperience hurting them. Still, don't count them out until they lose at home.

I don't think Golden State stands a chance of advancing (but I am wrong, more often than I am right), but they have at least made me pay a little bit of attention to the NBA playoffs this season.

Last night's game was all about Derek Fisher, and his performance showed what athletes are capable of when performing with an increased amount of adrenaline. It was fun to watch.

Well, let us not forget they are the 8 seed for a reason and if they had played anyone else but Dallas they are probably at home right now.

I don't know that it is inexperience so much as it is that they don't play any defense, they are fairly soft in the middle, and their on-floor leadership leaves a bit to be desired.

Agreed, doublee, but they did whip Utah in Game 3. The home crowd may have propelled them, and the fact that Utah was lacking urgency up 2-0. Still, if GS can win another at home, they stand a good chance. But Jazz will likely win in the end. Man, it was weird seeing Kirilenko playing point guard at 6-9.

This one's over. Utah won in GS, they're now up 3-1. GS is just as flawed as the Dallas during the Nellie tenure. They don't get easy baskets and have any inside game. If they go cold, it's over.

That happens all the time in the playoffs though, especially in Game Three when the lower seed is down 2-0. Heck the Bulls handled the Pistons yesterday.

Yeah the Warriors have a lot of flaws. They are the Western Conference's version of the Nets. They have no halfcourt offense and when they cannot get out and run-and-gun they are sunk.

With the way the Jazz are playing right now I am not so sure everyone should simply assume that the winner of the Spurs/Suns series is coming out of the West.

Bye bye, Warriors. Nellie's teams are fun, but limited in how far they can go. No wonder the guy's never won a title.

But Golden State at least made the playoffs fun to watch this year. Probably my favorite NBA playoff team to root for since the 1994 Dikembe Mutombo-led Denver Nuggets, who upset top-seed the Seattle SuperSonics in the first-round.

They may be the underdog, but I wouldn't count them out so easily. I like Utah to at least push the conference championship series to six games.

Dude, I wouldn't write the Jazz off just yet. I know everyone wants to say Suns/Spurs is the real Finals this year, but the Jazz have arguably been playing the best ball of anyone this postseason.

Kirilenko actually looked interested in playing ball again against the Warriors and if he plays that way in the Conference Finals the Suns or Spurs are going to be in trouble.
