Default AFC proves strength

It has been discussed on this board that the NFC has better top teams than the AFC. Well, I beg to differ, as I have disagreed all season. Now I even have more proof to why the AFC is just as good if not better than the NFC this season.

Examples of the past couple of weeks....

Green Bay at the time the top seed in the NFC goes down to the #4 (9-7) Jets.

Tampa Bay tied at the time for #1 seed in the NFC gets thrashed at home by the #3 (10-5-1) Steelers.

And who was the last team to beat the hot New York Giants? Yes, you guessed it an AFC team the Tennessee Titans.

Other notable game today.....Cleveland beats playoff bound Atlanta.

And of Philly's 4 loses.....3 of them came to AFC teams.....and their only loss at home came to the Colts who ran completely over the Eagles that day.

NFC has never been dominate over the AFC this season, and quite honestly I think the AFC is a better conference this season overall....and better as far as top teams are concerned as well.

Why do you care which conference is stronger? Why does it matter?

Faber welcome to the boards, but the reason why I care is because a few people on this board brought up how much better the NFC has been this season over the AFC. This conversation goes back many posts ago, so it does matter to me....for my favorite team is in the AFC.....plus I felt I had a valid arguement against those who were backing the NFC as well.

PREACH it Joey!!!!!

You are right.......of course.

Hey, the top NFC teams have somewhat "inflated" records because there are more BAD teams to beat up on in the NFC. It's as simple as that.

Mark it down, the AFC wins the Super Bowl this year....err....NEXT year....uhh,.....whatever.

The AFC is quite overrated in my opinion. Yeah, they have more mediocre teams. Wow, quite impressive.

Hey Joey, I think Faber is beggin' for the bong now.

The NFC had more CRAP teams. Hows about THAT?

Impressive. :uhoh:

Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Arizona.......uhh......St. Louis, maybe a couple others belong playing in the Humanitarian bowl or some damn place.

The AFC had just TWO terrible teams. Houston and Cincinnati.

Week in and week out you were gonna get a competetive game if you were playing an AFC foe.

Whatever floats your boat, Faber.

Faber......huh.....wasn't that fat, drunk, moronic Belushi's college?

The AL of course!!!!!! The Athletics... 103 win. The Yankees... 103 wins. Not one of the NL teams even have 100.

The NFC is WAY too dominant, the Packers and Niners clinched their divisons with about 5 weeks to go!!! The AFC is hella better because of the more balanced divisons which makes it more competitive.

Hero, you're right. I don't think the AFC is dominant, but it does have more competitive teams.

And the AL is without a doubt better than the NL.

the AFC is bette, top to bottom, i think the NFC may have the better teams, but i would take an average AFC team over an average NFC team anyday

AFC teams won five more games than NFC teams. For what it's worth. Combined AFC: 130-125-1 Combined NFC 125-130-1
