As was I.

Welp, my Kansas City Chiefs finally lost. Their defenisve play was outstanding. Matt Cassel...not so much.

Matt Cassel was NOT who we thought he was. The Chiefs are a good team, playoff caliber team, they won't go far though if they make it in.

The Kansas City Chiefs are an improved team, but by no means are they a playoff caliber team. They benefit solely by playing in the weakest division in the AFC.

The Reason they are a playoff caliber team is because nobody else is playing good football right now. Name the wild card teams? The Chiefs have the weakest schedule they are probably going to get in.

The AFC Wild Card teams are coming out of any division other than the AFC West. New York and New England both have a shot of coming out in the East, Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the North, and just about any team (probably outside of Jacksonville) in the South.

Personally, I still like San Diego to win the AFC West. They are a team that traditionally starts slow, but they have one of the best offenses in all of football. I would also take a team that knows how to score points (San Diego) over a team that is struggling to manufacture points (Kansas City).

I like San Diego at St. Louis this week, which would put them at 3-3 on the season. I also think they should be favored in six of their last seven following their bye week. If they can find a way to split there games between New England, Tennessee, Houston and Indianapolis, they still have a very good chance of winning 10 or 11 games this season.

With Houston and Jacksonville next on the schedule, Kansas City could easily be 3-3 in a couple of weeks. I also don't like them on the road against San Diego, Denver or Seattle, plus the Tennessee game at home late in the season should be interesting. If the Chiefs lose seven games, at best, I think it will be tough for them to find themselves in the hunt for a Wild Card spot.

See looking at KC's sched. they are 3 and 1 right now.
Heres the outlook IMHO for the season

Loss to the Texans - 3 and 2
Win against the Jags - 4 and 2
Win against the Bills - 5 and 2
Win against the Raiders - 6 and 2
Loss to the Broncos - 6 and 3
Win against Arizona - 7 and 3
Win against Seattle - 8 and 3
Win against Denver - 9 and 3
Loss to San Diego - 9 and 4
Win against St Louis - 10 and 4
Loss to Tennessee - 10 and 5
Win against Oakland - 11 and 5

I have San Diego winning 9 or 10, so Kansas City wins the division. But even if they don't they easily win 10 or 11 this year, that is a playoff record.

Sports discussion in the Lounge? Blasphemy!

My oven is broken. My apartment maintenance has ordered a part, but now it could take 2-3 weeks. Are you kidding me?! I pay top dollar to live here, I feel like they should do something. I don't cook, I rely on my oven to cook dinner most nights. Ugh.

Well damnit that was a good one.

Oh Marc that sucks, my oven leaks gas and I am too lazy to fix it so I just use the stove burners to cook.

P.S. what are the symptoms of Methane poisoning...shit went down last night and I am feeling ill.

That's the downside to being a renter.

My apartment complex has changed ownership on three separate occasions since I started living here. I haven't been inconvenienced much by the changes, except the dissimilarity in timeliness and performance of the maintenance staff. At times, I have found it easier to go outside for work and pay for it out-of-pocket, as opposed to playing the waiting game with ownership and maintenance.

Yeah seems to be the case with all Renters I have fixed the Shower and some electrical and plumbing myself, with the help of my father.

Much cheaper and faster than labor or landlord lol.

I just saw Jeff Gordon get out of the elevator as I was entering with my groceries! First Ric Flair, then Larry Brown, now Jeff Gordon in my building! Oh, and damn, he's short.
