Default Eastern Finals: New Jersey Nets (1) vs. Boston Celtics (3)

Well well well... here we are, the Eastern Finals which is certainly virtually the NBA Finals ( ).

Should the Celtics win this series, the East will pan out exactly as Lee's Line told you all so at the start of the playoffs -- BOS over NJN in the Eastern Finals. THis will be the case, I promise you once again. Both pretty much breezed through the last round, n and the teams combined have just 6 losses in 20 games this postseason.

Lee's Line says Celtics in 6.

I will take Boston in 5 games. Kidd can only carry the Nets so far, and this is his curtain call on a great season.

Funny how these polls go, it's almost as if the underdogs (seed-wise) are predicted to win more often than not.

I'm going to say Celtics in 5. I'll give the less-explosive Nets a win because they have Kidd and because Boston is bound to get beat on "one of those nights" where they shoot cold. Other than that, the Nets can'ts top Pierce or Walker, period.

Who have the Nets beaten? Not much. The eight-seeded Pacers were lucky to get in the playoffs and the Hornets were without their leading scorer, making them much less dangerous.

New Jersey in 6. Kidd is a true leader and has taken his team to the top this year. Jersey is a great up and down the court team while Boston is a jump shooting team. We'll see.

Celtics in 7. I like the 1-2 punch of Pierece and Walker. They should get it going and run the Nets down.

Can the Nets get some respect? They won today's game in convincing fashion as Pierce had an off-day, despite scoring over 20. The Nets just played great defense all game.

But I still won't give them credit, nope. Just like the Detroit series where the Pistons took Game 1, the Celtics will fight back.

Exactly, I still feel as though the Celtics will win this series. But they may just do it in 6 games now instead of 5 due to the fact they lost game 1.

And like you said, last series Boston lost game one and then came back and won 4 in a row to close down the Pistion's season. Pierce won't play that poorly the rest of this series either, and Boston a usually good defensive team did not play well on the defensive side of the floor.... look for that to improve as well.

Im the only one who is picking the Nets to win this series because I believe they can. They didnt finish #1 in the East for nothing. J. Kidd is a true leader and guys like Kiddles, Martin and Van Horn all provide for the Nets and they killed the Celtics in fast break points.

Nets will win, Jason Kidd will play the starring role. The big guy from Winnipeg will be the X-factor. As was apparent in game one, Boston has no answer for McCulloch. Post him down low early in the shot clockif single teamed he will score, when the double comes, he'll find the open man

Go Nets Go

Celts tied this up last night in the Meadowlands. Great defensive game, much like how the Detroit series went. Both teams shot under 35%! Boston should feel very good now that they won without another poor night out of Pierce and Walker.

What's up with Pierce's free throws? He looks like Baron Davis out there.

Pierce's free throws are looking worse now as well as Kobe's, good tip is to never change your style on how you shoot at the line. I predict the Nets to win game 3 and then Boston winning game 5.

A good tip is to not brag about how no one can stop you! Look at Pierce's dismal offensive performances since saying that ... it definitely motivated the Nets.

Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics pulled off the greatest fourth-quarter comeback in NBA playoff history, overcoming a 21-point deficit to beat the New Jersey Nets 94-90.
