Default Who's the MAN for the heisMAN? Bush or Young?

Who should win the Heisman, Reggie Bush or Vince Young? The last time I checked the Heisman is given to the most outstanding player in the nation not the most valuable player. So if that is true, Reggie Bush is the MAN for the heisMAN. You can not say that Vince is more outstanding than the explosive Bush. I am a Longhorn fan, but still. Vince is more valuable to his team, because Bush has to share time with White and also has an outstanding QB in Matt Linert who has already won the Heisman. But Bush is clearly the choice for the Heisman.

(But the Longhorns are still going to beat USC in the Rose Bowl.)

I agree with digital, Young is not going to be a great NFL QB. If I were an NFL GM, I would stay away from him and Marcus Vick and any other QB who relies on his legs to make plays.

My vote would be Reggie Bush. I have never seen a player who can turn on a dime and dodge defenders as well as he does.

I'd still hold my vote until after Saturday, but I'd vote for Vince Young right now. People don't seem to care that Bush had a multitude of games where he was a non-factor.

Even though Texas has good receivers and a great running game, Young is the catalyst for everything on that offense.

Agreed. Bush is the 2nd best runningback on USC, behind L White.

Young doesn't just rely on his legs to make plays. His passing #s

comp/att- 168/268
yards- 2,810
td/int- 25/10

Now add his rushing stats-

carries/yds-128/793
ypc- 6.2
td- 8

33 total TDs and almost 3,600 total yards. Pretty impressive to me.

I was thinking the same thing and trying to figure out who the fifth would be assuming that Bush, Young, Leinart, and Quinn were no-brainers. Apparently only three have been invited to NYC this weekend: Bush, Young, and Leinart.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2251643

Kind of odd when they have always had five for as long as I can remember.

I guess they just figured there's no point in inviting anyone else. There's not really much point in inviting Leinart, either, though, but you need to have at least three. Bush is a better player, but Young has had a better season. Doesn't matter, though, voters are going to see Bush as the greatest player in college football history and will probably pick him

Its possible no one else in the country received a vote since the Heisman ballot is top three if I'm not mistaken.

I think they vote for top five. At least ESPN's expert straw poll does top five and I can't imagine why they would deviate from what the Downtown Athletic Club does.

Yeah, I'd be real weary of Marcus Vick also. He is a bigger project than Young.

Bush will win hands down.

Who were the two fools that gave Michael Robinson two first-place votes?
