Default Bears lose Urlacher for season, but bigger problems?

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher's season is over after wrist injury - ESPN Chicago

Dislocated right wrist. Big loss for the Bears; he's their defensive leader. After considering Derrick Brooks, it looks like the Bears are going to replace him with a linebacker on their roster already.

But perhaps a bigger problem for Chicago is the play of Cutler. He had 3 INTs and looked shaky in his first start. I laughed when Cris Collinsworth said "that's a pass Brett Favre would have been proud of," referring to Cutler's gunslinger mentality and his errant throw into triple coverage. As a Packer fan, I laughed because the days of those stupid plays are over. I think ultimately Cutler is an upgrade and makes the offense more explosive, it's just going to take him a while to calm down and get comfortable.

Meanwhile, my Packers have a problem on the o-line protecting Aaron Rodgers. He couldn't get a rhythm all night. But Ryan Grant looked solid and the new 3-4 defense was much improved.

He actually had four picks, but, honestly I would not expect anything special out of Cutler until the Bears finally decide to spend some cash on legitimate NFL receivers and not relying on guys like Devin Hester and mid to late round picks to fill out their receiving corps. Not all of those picks are on Cutler. I saw some plays where receivers were not running good routes or ran the wrong routes leading to some of Culter's errant throws.

It is a whole different world when you have guys like Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall who can run more than just fly patterns down the sideline and will catch just about anything that comes their way.

Kind of interesting how Kyle Orton had a pretty good day for Denver while Cutler stunk it up for Chicago.

I never understood why folks thought the mere addition of Cutler was going to make the offense infinitely better when he has nobody to throw to aside from Forte and Olsen. Quarterback was not the only thing holding the passing game back in Chicago.
Can I get an Amen from the bobbleheads?
