That seems like over-rating Favre a ton. The Jets are probably in the playoffs with Kyle Orton at QB, so I'm not sure how Favre showing up on the Bears puts them at 12/13 wins.

With their schedule next year, Bethune-Cookman could win twelve games with Brett Favre at QB.

So, then they'll probably go 15-1 with Orton?

I mean, only thing I'm saying is that I see Favre as a below average QB right now. And to add on top of that, if you're going to be a below average QB in the NFL, you can't be prone to mistakes. Unfortunately, that's just not the case with Favre. He's now average and puts his team in bad situations with picks.

That is also assuming his arm is not shot and it does not blow up on him again halfway through the season the way it did this past year.

Oh, please!

Favre will turn 40 during the 2009 season - but when he turns 80 he'll still have ten times more talent than Kyle Orton has now.

You compulsive Brett Favre haters are even more pathetic than compulsive Rashad Evans haters - if that's possible!

Favre really needs to hang it up. I'm starting to remember him as the guy that only throws INT's.

I like Favre... but ya know... nowadays when I think of him I think...

He's got stats because he's played FOREVER
He only has 1 SB (and so do other QB's who suck)
He throws INT's and loses a lot of games

The only good thing I can think of is 3 MVP's.... I like the guy and yeah, I do resepct his love for the game.... but at what point is he hurting teams instead of helping.

Once Brady went down everyone pretty much crowned the Jets AFC East winners (mostly due to the presence of Favre) and they had a HUGe choke down the stretch... mostly due to him.

Well how did the Jets go 9-7 with Favre just one year after going 4-12 without him, if all he can do is throw INTs?

The Vikings and Bears were 10-6 and 9-7 this season, respectively, without Favre (and if anything were even worse off at QB than the '07 Jets were).

You do the math - and don't forget to factor in the Pop Warner schedules each team will play in 2009.

9-7?? Thats your answer? First off they would prob have gone 8-8 if Brady doesnt get hurt.

But I think when they picked up Brett Favre they expected to be a little better than 9-7... regardless of last years record... they could have done better than 4-12 with Dante Culpepper
