Default St. Louis Scores 28 Points in Fourth Quarter

That was unreal. SF had that game won and St. Louis scored 28 points in the fourth to win it. They looked like the old Rams. Jamie Martin was their quarterback.

I'm not sure, because I was bowling and not watching the game, but didn't SF have their second and third stringers in the game after the first quarter?

Rams came on too late in the season. They are still a good offensive team.

Pfff.... No suprise, since the 49ers just f*ckin' gave up at the end... Burning down the clock with run plays. What's so with that!!!? They should've at least attempted a comeback... It's cool though, as the Rams got Faulk, Bruce, and Holt to play. While the Niners has no body.

Worse yet for the 49ers, they didn't even succeed in achieving Steve Mariucci's goal of avoiding injuries: Cornerback Jason Webster left the game in the third quarter with a sprained ankle; if he can't make it back in five and a half days, his spot would be taken by rookie Mike Rumph, who has been lit up by opposing receivers all season.

I wonder why in the hell did the Niners drafted that guy... They should've taken Ed Reed or something.

Uh... Hero, Reed had been drafted already, if memory serves. Ravens.

I think that the Niners collapse in that game was just a microcosm of their season, and an early dismissal from the playoffs will start the talk about Mooch being pushed out the door.

Dennis Green won't take the Jax job till after the Niners play this weekend. If they lose, he'll skip the Jax job altogether, and make a serious push for the SF job.

Mooch needs new scenery. He looks like a coach tired of walking the hills of SF to me.

A year ago they were saying that under his "buyout" agreement with the Vikings, Dennis Green is not permitted to coach in the NFL until at least 2004. If that's the case, all this talk about Green taking the Jacksonville (or any other) job is nothing but smoke and mirrors; either that, or Minnesota would be entitled to compensation if Green does resurface next year - and I'm sure the compensation won't be cheap (as in a first-round draft choice).
