Why does Pardon The Interruption have two new hosts? I want Tony and Mike back.

Isn't Tony gone for good since he got the new gig (wasn't it Monday Nite Football?)

I keep hearing they are on vacation. I am guessing Tony is still gonna do PTI somehow.

I do agree. I can't stand Lebatard or Whitlock.

I know Tony is doing MNF now but it is the middle of the summer, I don't see how that would stop him from doing PTI now.

Also: Dana Carvey as Church Lady was great! And, IMO, the best "Weekend Update" anchor had to have been Dennis Miller, hands down....

I do take exception to Buckeye's claim that all the women on the show were bad: Gilda Radner was terrific!!!!
Hold on a second here. I meant the CURRENT women have been horrible. Of course Radner was awesome.

I see the point on the early and mid 80s cast being good but as Steve noted those skits don't hold up as well as the ones in the late 80s to mid 90s. His list of the cast says it all. You might have had more stars in the early to mid 80s but the later casts had more depth.

The late 80s and early 90s produced the best musical guests too IMO. That's just my opinion of course since I like the alternative/grunge era. Neil Young did an AMAZING performance of "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World" on SNL in 1989. Now you mostly get these teeny bop groups on there. Plus the guest hosts are all young kids too. I never heard of this Lindsay Lohan chick til she hosted when Pearl Jam was on back in April. She looked like she was 12 and had an eating disorder...so same old same old.

I tell you one thing though: Phil Hartman was HANDS DOWN the most versatile performer in that era. Damn was that guy hilarious.

Anyone remember the skit in the 70s where I believe it was Chase as a news anchor announcing that we were going to blow up the moon because "we could?" Freakin' hilarious.

I mostly like the 90s ones, since I really havent' seen too much of the older ones. I enjoyed Chris Farley as the motivational speaker with the famous phrase....

LeRetard? Idiot.

Didn't Barkley call Whitlock Java the Hutt? I remember someone did. Hilarious stuff.

I can live wiht Lebatard and Whitlock once in awhile, but it's been like two weeks straight without Tony and Mike. At least mix it up and bring in Michelle Tafoya or Adande or something.

He's one of my favorites on AtH. Only a few folks speak sense on that show, and he's one of them. Of course, I grew up reading him in the LA Times, so I have a pretty good opinion of him and Plaschke.

Dammit. I am ready to go home. Still over an hour left.

Why did I agree to work late again?
