I can't wait to see Snakes on a Plane.

With a movie title like that, it can't suck.

The movie has to be cool just to watch Samuel L. Jackson shoot huge snakes on a plane.

People already have their favorite moment.

Jackson is supposed to scream "I want these m********** snakes off the m********** plane!".

To see how they can get even one hour from a plot of snakes on a plane will be entertaining.

Anyone see they are gonna remake Fletch?

That ain't right. You can't perfect perfection. Plus the movie was so conncected with the Laker Showtime era it just wouldn't be the same now.

Today's Hollywood:

Remake movies that are barely 20 years old, drop the age of the actors down a couple decades (worship youth), and then throw in your technological "advances."

And they want MY $9?

Go to hell Hollywood.

That's why I wait for it to come out at Bockbuster or on sale. $9 for what??? At least "back in the day", they'd at least spend the effort to wear a ski mask & get a gun. Now they just expect you to show up at selected times to get robbed.

What a lazy society...

Yea, my wife asked me if I wanted to go see Spiderman when it came out a few years back. I saw the previews. The kid they had playin' the character looked like his voice hadn't changed yet and still thought girls were "yucky."

Yep...

What really ruined it for me is how Hollywood will push whoever they think is the hot commodity at the time for max revenue. I get tired of some of these new faces where a movie is a hit then you see them in 4 more in the following months.

Nowadays it's a crapshoot finding a truly good movie to justify today's prices...

I couldn't even tell you what the big summer blockbuster is this year. I think it's Pirates but I really don't know. I tend to zonk out in the theaters and that's mostly due to 30 minutes of previews and all their other junk nowadays. Honestly, I've never been a big movie guy.

I remember standing in line for nearly two hours to see Jaws in 1975. Just a random thought, but movies had more appeal back then. They were memorable. I loved the Star Wars franchise but the last 3 sucked in comparison to the first 3. Too much dotcom machine and not enough emotion.

Is Chevy gonna be in the new Fletch?

I saw Miami Vice this weekend. If you enjoy shotguns rippin' fools apart, there's a film for ya.

The latest I heard about a return to the screen of Fletch wasn't that the film was going to be a remake of the 1985 film, but more like a non-traditional sequel to Fletch and Fletch Lives.

Back in 2000, Miramax optioned the rights to the 11-book series from author Gregory Mcdonald, and asked Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma) to adapt Fletch Won for the screen.

Unlike the Chevy Chase films of the 1980s, Smith wanted to stay very true to the book and has actually credited Mcdonald's books for how he learned how to write dialogue in his films.

Since then, the project has faded away (it was supposed to be filmed and released prior to Jersey Girl and Clerks 2).

At the time, Jason Lee from My Name is Earl and from several of Smith's films was the frontrunner to play young Irwin Fletch.

I know we've already talked about Rocky Balboa, but I hadn't seen this trailer yet (I saw another one a while back).

Wow!!! Is this guy serious? Its kind of ironic in the sense that in the trailer when Rocky is asked if he wants to fight the champ he replies: "I wouldn't want to be embarressed"... when that is exactly what Sylvester Stallone is doing to himself with this garbage... oh and of course Rambo IV which will be out next year.

I saw Talladega Nights tonight. I give it 3 stars.

I really enjoyed the pure randomness of the movie. It was ten times better than anchorman. The story line was better, it had some funnier twists, and was just a way better movie.

The only problem I had with the movie is that I had already seen alot of the stuff in the movie. They showed way too much in the trailers. Alot of the funniest parts of the movie just weren't funny because they weren't of any surprise.

Overall though, funny movie and very entertaining.

Don't take kids though. I am surprised it passed as a pg-13 movie.
