Nationals.

Aside from McDonald the starting pitching has been as good as you can ask for. Well, Ohlendorf too but he's on the shelf.

Tabata looks really good but the hitting overall needs to be more consistent. That's expected with a bunch of young pups taking cuts at the plate though.

Yeah. We've got a lot of nice young stars. Let's hope they don't get traded away too soon

(Has that pitcher from San Diego State on the Nationals been healthy this year? Has he been playing? If I remember corectly, his first MLB start was against the Pirates last year and he was doing well before he got injured.)

Strasburg is on the DL. Think he got a long way to go before he'll be back but not sure.

That's a bummer. He was a huge deal when he got drafted. I read that there is another phenom who plays from the Reds and throws 105 mph pitches. Has he been having any success this season?

My fire department had a practice burn this morning. Unfortunately, I can't play much, yet. Fortunately, I've got about 20 guys that won't let me do anything stupid.
The burn went really well and I was in charge of keeping track of the guys that went into the house. I made sure everyone was out before it got too bad. They all were.

If you post at night, you can still hear KevinBeane typing, Rickythekid making literary allusions, MountaineerDave rivising long posts of his, Tobynosker listening to a movie, Kornbix playing loud rap music, and Lee hitting a golf ball.

Toby, have you seen the movie Insidious? If so, I'd like to hear your take on it.

I did see it, catman, and for the most part, I enjoyed it. I thought the first hour was particularly unsettling, but its final act was a little shaky, for me. I felt like they took some chances with it that didn't quite pay off, but overall, I loved the atmosphere of the movie.

I thought it had a lot of "gotcha" moments. My wife nearly jumped out of her seat a couple of times.

Cat, if you are looking to find a decent horror film, check out the Australian film Lake Mungo. It was a part of last year's After Dark Horrorfest series. I've heard rumors that the makers of The Ring are remaking it for American audiences, but it was a particularly creepy flick.
