Cool Good Riddance to Setting Suns

With the "firing" of Head Coach Scott Skiles, the Suns have completed a dramatic turnaround to their present, lowly state. A year ago they were continual playoff contenders, a player or two away from "real" finals contention, now they're nothing more than a sub-.500 franchise with the longest championshipless streak in league history. Who's to blame? According to analysts and league sources, we can't blame the Colangelos. They're the league's moral fabric, the league's structure for morality in a changing world moving away from that specific human aspect. Unbelievable! Colangelo and Co. might be the biggest con artists in the history of professional sports management. They offer support for troubled players by trading them and expect to maintain a league standard of quality, good natured players by acquiring John Wallace and Stephon Marbury? Are you kidding me? Suns management thinks that their place in the Valley of the Sun - a place where midwestern Republicans and the Christian Right sweats it out nine months a year - allows them to be the league's police when in fact Colangelo and his idiot monkey-like son, Bryan, attempt to build a winning franchise by bringing in street hoods with no sense of the word "team." And when things get real tough they fire the only person trying in Suns management - Skiles - and replace him with some casper milktoast whose NBA experience consists of a warm seat for a tired Charles Barkley. The Phoenix Suns bring shame not only to the NBA but Arizona sports. They are nothing more than the biggest sham, besides the NBA's stringent drug policy, in the league today.

Welcome! :wavey:

Wherever Jason Kidd goes, so do wins. Dallas won with the Three Js with Kidd in the mid-'90s. Then Phoenix was respectable when he was there. And now look at what he's done in Jersey. It's unbelievable.

I don't like Marbury and I think he is one of the problems with this team. He is selfish and doesn't make the players around him better like Kidd does.

I was glad to see Skiles leave on his own terms as it just wasn't working out. It remains to be seen who will be his permanent successor.

I'll agree. Marbury is not the kind of player Kidd is. Plus, he's been having problems with the law (recent DUI).

Kidd for Marbury was The Rocket Guy's "Stupidest Trade of the Summer." It made no sense when they did it and the season has only shown that someone in NJ had Jerry Coangelo in compromising photographs. Skiles was the victim in that situation. And Penny Hardaway???? Whatever. They need help.

Kidd for Marbury was definitely not the way to go if you want to win, which I expect the Suns want to do!
