Default Bama's Top 10 Pro Football Rankings Week 12

1.Indianapolis Colts-(10-1)-The Colts beat the
Philadelphia Eagles without their star quarterback
Donovan McNabb, 45-21 in Indianapolis. QB Peyton
Manning didn't have his biggest game of the year, but
he still led his team to victory. Manning completed
just 14 of 20 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown.
Rookie RB Joseph Addai out of LSU had the big game
rushing for 171 yards on 24 carries, and scoring four
rushing touchdowns. Tying a franchise record for
touchdowns in a single game. Addai set an NFL rookie
record for scoring with a late 4-yard run. The
previous high for points scored by a rookie in a game
was 18, a mark reached in 1956, 1994 and 1996.
WR Reggie Wayne caught four passes for 77 yards and
one touchdown. Cornerback Kelvin Hayden returned a
fumble for a 26 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter
for the Colts. Defensive end Robert Mathis had two
sacks in the game. Next game Dec. 3rd against the
Tennessee Titans in Tennessee.

2.Baltimore Ravens-(9-2)-The Ravens blanked the
Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-0 at Baltimore. Baltimore's
defense sacked Pittsburgh's quarterback Ben
Roethlisberger nine times. They also held the Steelers
to just 172 total yards in the game. Defensive end
Terrell Suggs had two sacks in the game along with
teammate Trevor Pryce. The defense also had two
interceptions on the day. Baltimore's defense ranks
second overall in the NFL, allowing 265.0 yards per
game. QB Steve McNair completed 18 of 24 passes for
140 yards and one touchdown. Tight end Todd Heap
caught seven passes for 58 yards and one touchdown.
Next game Nov. 30th against the Cincinnati Bengals on

3.San Diego Chargers-(9-2)-The Chargers struggled some
and beat the Oakland Raiders, 21-14 in San Diego. RB
LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 109 yards on 19 carries
and scored two rushing touchdowns. Tomlinson ranks
third in the NFL in rushing with 1,146 yards. Tight
end Antonio Gates caught six passes for 81 yards and
one touchdown. The Chargers offense ranks fifth in the
NFL, averaging 364.2 yards per game. Linebacker
Randall Godfrey had 13 tackles on the day for San Diego. Godfrey is a 11-year NFL veteran out of Georgia. Next game Dec. 3rd against the Buffalo Bills
in Buffalo.

4.New England Patriots-(8-3)-The Patriots beat the
Chicago Bears in a sloppy game by both sides, 17-13 at
New England. And boy were the Pat's fortunate to win,
especially after turning the ball over five times
during the game. I'm a little hesitant in ranking the
Patriots fourth in my top 10. But they still beat a
good team. As for the Bears, they turned it over four
times. QB Tom Brady completed 22 of 33 passes for 269
yards and one touchdown. Brady threw two
interceptions. Tight end Ben Watson caught six passes
for 89 yards and one touchdown. Rookie RB Lawrence
Maroney rushed for 33 yards on 13 carries, but scored
one rushing touchdown. Cornerback Asante Samuel had
three interceptions for the Patriots that evening. He
now has six on the year. Next game Dec. 3rd against
the Detroit Lions at New England.

5.Chicago Bears-(9-2)-The Bears lost to the New England Patriots, 17-13 in cold New England. QB Rex Grossman threw three interceptions in their loss. RB
Thomas Jones rushed for 99 yards on 23 carries. WR
Bernard Berrian caught five passes for 104 yards.
Chicago's cornerback Charles Tillman had two
interceptions in the game. Linebacker Lance Briggs had
13 tackles for the Bears defense. The Bears have the
number one ranked defense in the NFL, allowing just
261.1 yards per game. Kicker Robbie Gould kicked a 46
yard field goal in the first quarter. Gould leads the
NFL in kicking with 109 points. Next game Dec. 3rd
against the Minnesota Vikings in Chicago.

6.New Orleans Saints-(7-4)-The Saints beat the Atlanta
Falcons for the second time this season, 31-13 in
Atlanta. New Orleans now leads the NFC South by one
game over the Carolina Panthers. QB Drew Brees
completed 21 of 30 passes for 349 yards and two
touchdowns. One was a "Hail Mary" right before the
first half ended. He tossed a 48-yarder to WR Terrence
Copper who was waiting in the end zone. Great catch by
Copper. Brees leads the NFL in passing yards with
3,463. WR Devry Henderson had another great game by
catching four passes for 158 yards and one touchdown.
RB Deuce McAllister rushed for 71 yards on 20 carries
and scored two touchdowns. RB Reggie Bush caught three
passes for 21 yards. Bush is tied for first place in
receptions in the NFC with 64. On defense for the
Saints defensive end Will Smith had two sacks on the
day, but the Saints couldn't contain QB Michael Vick
very well when he took off and ran. Vick rushed for
166 yards on 12 carries. Next game Dec. 3rd against
the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans.

7.Dallas Cowboys-(7-4)-The Cowboys beat the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers, 38-10 at Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. QB
Tony Romo completed 22 of 29 passes for 306 yards and
five touchdowns. Tying a franchise record for
touchdowns. The offense racked up 435 yards of offense
on the day. WR Terrell Owens caught eight passes for
107 yards and one touchdown, while WR Terry Glenn
caught four passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns. On
defense for Dallas linebacker Bradie James had eight
tackles. James leads the team in tackles with 67. Next
game Dec. 3rd against the New York Giants at New York.

8.Kansas City Chiefs-(7-4)-The Chiefs beat the Denver
Broncos, 19-10 at home in Kansas City. The Chiefs had
22 first downs compared to 16 for Denver. They also
had 382 yards of offense compared to 244 for Denver.
RB Larry Johnson rushed for 157 yards on 34 carries
and scored one rushing touchdown. Johnson is the
leading rusher in the NFL with 1,202 yards. The Chiefs
kicker Lawrence Tynes kicked four field goals on the
day. His longest was a 34 yarder in the third quarter.
Next game Dec. 3rd against the Cleveland Browns in

9.Seattle Seahawks-(7-4)-The Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers in the snow and ice, 34-24 at Seattle. RB Shaun Alexander shined in the snow as he rushed for
201 yards on 40 carries. QB Matt Hasselbeck did not
look very good, but he still threw three touchdowns.
He also threw three interceptions. WR D.J. Hackett
caught five passes for 67 yards and one touchdown.
Hackett played his college ball at Colorado. Seattle's
defense intercepted Brett Favre three times on the
night. Next game Dec. 3rd against the Denver Broncos
in Denver.

10.Denver Broncos-(7-4)-The Broncos lost on
Thanksgiving Day to the Kansas City Chiefs, 19-10 in
Kansas City. It was announced earlier this week that
rookie QB Jay Cutler would be the starting quarterback
for Denver this coming week. Denver's offense ranks
22nd in the NFL, averaging 304.3 yards per game. QB
Jake Plummer threw for 216 yards against the Chiefs
and threw one touchdown, but tossed one interception.
The running game was ineffective as RB Mike Bell could
only rush for 28 yards on 10 carries. WR Javon Walker
caught six passes for 55 yards. Next game Dec. 3rd
against the Seattle Seahawks in Denver.
