Default Kanye West is a Jackass.

Our President, in his words: The Gaggle : TMZ Posts Audio of Obama Calling Kanye a 'Jackass.' But How Did It Get the Tape?

Amen. And while I agree, I still think he's a musical genius and love his music.

Kanye's thrown tantrums and been in controversies before, but this time he really crossed the line in humiliating and spoiling a young girl's special moment (Taylor Swift). What do you all think about this? Unbelievable.

He interrupted an MTV award, I don't buy this spoiling a special moment argument that people are throwing out.

When was the last time MTV was relevant in terms of music? 15 years ago? So, I don't buy that she was getting some prestigious award you have to be protective of. Was it a surprising/humiliating moment? Sure, but, it's the MTV awards, you really can't get upset about something like that happening given the setting.

True, this wasn't the Grammy's or anything, but it was still something. MTV may not be known for showing music videos anymore, but the VMAs are still a big deal in the entertainment business. One of top award shows behind the Grammy's when it comes to music.

Seeing as the VMAs are essentially a popularity contest I am not entirely sold on the idea that it is a terribly prestigious award. You never see anyone promote themselves as a five time VMA award winner when promoting an album but they will say five time Grammy winner or even Grammy nominee.
