doublee, that is an excellent point you make!

Thing that sucks about the NBA Playoffs are these long layoffs between games! I mean Detroit played on Wednesday night, and don't play again until Sunday! Thats horrible!

Agreed on the length between games. The series have no flow like this. NBA, get a clue!

Does anyone think Larry Brown's health is distracting the team? His future is very uncertain with his bladder problem.

I have no idea what to think with this series. Game 1, the Pistons look like the defending champions and the Heat look like inexperienced wannabes, but the Pistons played like bums in Game 2 and Wade got his magic back. Game 3 will be pivotal, IMO, to see which way the series will swing.

I think what you're seein' here is not a lack of Miami love as much as not having a loyal Miami fan on the site, DET. Buckeye is right when he pointed out that Miami needs to learn to climb the ladder, so to speak, like other teams have in the past, i.e. Chicago, Detroit, San Antonio, LA, etc.

Miami is good enough now to challenge the Pistons but even with a healthy Shaq, I don't see them closing out a series with them. Detroit is too established defensively & have gotten better offensively from last year for a young upstart Heat team to knock 'em off IMO. If for some reason Miami would advance, it would be cuz the Pistons lost focus which I just don't see happening this year.....

LOL guys  I know... hell froze over. What can I say? Wade's definitely handling the Pistons much better than Kobe did last year, or at least for one game. We'll have a better idea if that was a fluke or not in Sunday's game.

Wade showed that amazing knack for coming back after bad games & correcting what was wrong thru-out the year. He definitely is the real deal IMO...

If the Pistons slow him up next game, I'll bet it'll be their effort before it's Wades miscues....

Yep, I am just about fully aboard the Dwyane Wade train at this point. It's amazing the amount of talent that kid has and is still humble and doesn't have the ego that usually comes with it. I can't wait to watch him and Shaq tomorrow
Go Heat!!!

Weird off-note: do you think his mom or dad was just a really poor speller when filling out his birth certificate? (Dwyane instead of Dwayne)

Sorry fellas, I think you already seen the best highlight of this series for Wade in game #2. I'm guessing Detroit will limit him for the rest of the going. Those are just my thoughts, and I am ready to eat crow if Detroit loses today.

Well, DET...

With about a little under 6 minutes left in the 3rd, Wades box score reads...

25 points...11/15...7 RBs...5 assts....+ the Heat up by 10

Limiting this young guy??? From being at 40 already perhaps?? Learn your enemy, Wade's no fluke & while the Heat as a team have to beat the Pistons & may not have the playoff experience, no way the Pistons shut down Wade.

I know you've offered to eat crow if the Pistons lose the series, would you like a little about Wade?? Sauteed or Flambe'ed???

LMAO!! hope you didn't have money on that one, DET

I ended up stuck in a meeting during the game and just caught the highlights. I must say it was quite surprising to see Detroit lose its poise and let the refs get to them... I mean I hate the refs just as much as anyone else, but usually when you have a solid case of bad officiating, you'll see a disproportionate number of fouls for one team.

But we don't have that tonight; the calls were pretty evenly distributed.. this is a good sign for my unpopular opinion that the Heat will take this series

This cracked me up... you can always count on Shaquille for a humorous statement, and he certainly didn't let us down tonight:

No, no money, but the crow didn't taste all that bad really!

The Heat did well in this game, and to be honest, I was shocked really.

It seemed like Miami was getting some good calls from the refs, and that frustrated the Pistons a lot and took them out of the game that they usually play. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.

Anyhow, I'm gonna go throw up, I think I ate too much crow!

lol, DET..

This series is faaar from over & I'm not convinced that the Piston problems are goin' to continue.

Yea, some of the frusration Detroit's feelin' can be attributed to Miami but a lot aren't. They were holding Miamis bench in check for almost 3 quarters & got Wade into foul trouble but then seemed to lose it. Yet still they were in striking distant towards the end.

I'm not sure where Miamis gonna get the experience to close this series out cuz I'm sure Brown's gonna make sure to have the defensive pressure jacked up. It'll be interesting to not only see if Miami can continue to score but if they can match the intensity on D...

Good series so far & one that'll help Detroit with the Spurs if they get out alive....

Well, one thing is, I am not too worried yet, Detroit is good when they are cornered. Should be good to watch.
