Default Duante's Inferno....MVP?

You'd be hard pressed to find somebody playing any better than my guy, C-Pep. He's staking an early claim to that MVP award.

NFC Player of the Week twice already, and possibly named again this week.

Twice thrown 5 TD's in the first 4 games.

Team is 3-1 and in first place.

NFL best 126.0 QB Rating.

1,341 yards passing (#3)....13 TD's (#2).......1 INT (#1).

It's silly to talk MVP in week 5, but he is having a rediculous season so far.(

and boy is it great to have him on my fantasy team. put up 45 fanball points yesterday. so the rest of my team didn't have to do much. everyone thought i was stupid when i took him with the #3 pick. in most drafts someone like Mcallister, Alexander, Green would be taken at #3. not me, i knew he would go wild this year.

as for MVP i'd give it to him so far this year.

Factual inaccuracy: The Vikings are in second place in the NFC North; both they and the Lions are 3-1, they haven't played each other yet, both are 1-0 within the division, 2-1 against common opponents and 2-1 within the conference. But since Detroit has the better strength of victory - the three teams they've beaten are a combined 7-7 while Minnesota's three victims are 5-8 among them - the Lions, not the Vikings, currently lead the division.

Have a nice day.

Question is will the defense be good enough for him to get the 11 or 12 wins he will need to win. Payton and Donovan are lighting it up as well and it looks as though their teams should not have any problems getting to 12 wins this year. Also, tough to ignore Tiki Barber who is on pace for 2600+ yards from scrimmage this year.

The big question is whether Daunte can continue to not turn the ball over as much as he has in the past:

2000: 16 games, 16 INT, 11 Fumbles, 6 Lost
2001: 11 games, 13 INT, 16 Fumbles, 7 Lost
2002: 16 games, 23 INT, 21 Fumbles, 8 Lost
2003: 14 games, 11 INT, 15 Fumbles, 6 Lost
2004: 4 games, 1 INT, 5 Fumbles, 1 Lost

So far, this is the first season that Daunte is turning the ball over less than once per game. If he goes back to his old form, even if the rest of his numbers stay strong, I can't see him getting the MVP.

Well, he could have just said that the Lions were a better team than the Vikings, what would you have prefered?

Also, Culpepper isn't ahead of Donovan McNabb for the MVP award right now. Culpepper is a fantasy football MVP, for sure, but so far this year McNabb and Chad Pennington HAVE to be ahead of Culpepper.

As good as C-Pepp is right now I still can't get over Tiki Barber. If he keeps up this pace I think he's the MVP without question.

Habs... ? Tiki? MVP?
Assuming he and the Giants keep it up (doubtul) and Manning, McNabb and Culpepper keep up what they're doing, Tiki's a distant memory, man.
There's no beatiing the QB for these retarded awards...

Donovan is the MVP of stats so far, but as Doug Graham said, Pennington and McNabb are ahead of him for the real MVP right now.

I am, but I blame the fact that I'm a Packer fan on it more than anything he's said.

I very much doubt that Pennington is a legitimate MVP guy right now. Manning, obviously. McNabb, obviously. Culpepper, sort of. TO probably ranks ahead of Pennington.

How'd the Jets do without Pennington last year?

He is the leader and most importantly, the difference maker, on a team that with him, is one of the best in the NFL and without him, is nothing.
