I brief stay here thus far, and thanks to members like Tarkus and Mush, I've notice that there are real men in here. (No offense Suedon). And real men likes real food. And what better food than meat. Yeah veggies are good for you and in the off season we get our fill of the garbage, but with the up coming football season upon us, it's feeding time and we crave meat with our gridiron.
For me I like a variety of different meats for football Saturdays. Wings, Pulled Pork, Shrimp Scampi, Crawfish, cheese steaks or just a nice thick grill steak, that can never go wrong. Living in the south I was never aware of a condiment for steak use in the eastern seaboard or the upper mid west. A local restaurant guy that came here from Virginia told me about how surprise he was not to find this hidden gem on the table along with salt, pepper and ketchup. That condiment is dill sauce. OH MY LORD! This stuff is heaven. So if you aren't aware of this side item sent to us from heaven, this is what the thread is all about. How to make that steak better as I did with a little help from dill sauce. I found this old family recipe and would like you other carnivorous to give this a try. It's simple to make and it keeps forever. Beside steak, you can find other's food items you will enjoy this on. Dano's Stolen Dill Sauce Recipe. 1/2 cup Whipping Cream 8 oz. Sour Cream 3 tbsp. Chopped Dill (I use a good dry dill, fresh is what's ask for) 3 tbsp. Lemon Juice 1/2 Salt 1 tbsp. Horse Radish Sauce, For bite (This is what makes it Dano's recipe) __________ Stir is all ingredients in bowl. That's it. Yields 1 1/2 cups. Note: On a your favorite cut of steak. The Dill Sauce along with the natural cooked juices of the steak produces a beautiful brown mixture. It will make the taste buds do a river dance in your mouth. I find it also goes good with certain Mexican dishes, along with steam broccoli & Mushrooms. Enjoy. ![]()

I've seen them all over the south. Check the marinade/salad dressing aisle at the grocery store.
