Default All-Star Weekend

Predictions:

MVP: Kobe Bryant (wants the real MVP over Lebron.. again.. badly)
Team: Western Conference (crapshoot, they're pretty even)
3 Pt: I'm feelin' Rashard on this one
Dunk: The force is with J.R. Smith this time, I think

Most looking forward to:

Shaq and Kobe together again on the same team on the court at the same time, under Phil Jackson.

I'd like to see a sweet pass/alley-oop to a dunk and/or a chest bump between the two former nemeses (is that the plural?). That would be interesting.

The most important question, who will win the G-E-I-C-O contest?

I am looking forward to the dunk contest; never miss that.

Nate Robinson wins the Slam Dunk Contest after jumping over Dwight Howard: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/allsta...ory?id=3908104

Howard came out of a phone booth with his Superman cape and dunking on a 12-foot goal. Some are speculating Commish Stern halted his other dunks on that goal out of fear he'd miss and injure himself (a la Clyde Drexler I heard, though I don't remember the incident). The problem is Howard makes it look too easy. The 12-foot dunk was impressive, but looked like a regular dunk to people. Same with his free-throw line dunk. All in all, this should have been shared between him and Robinson. After all, Howard played a big part in Robinson's winning dunk...

Then you have Shaq and Kobe sharing the ASG MVP, which this game will be remembered for after all their feuding...

But how did you like my man T.O. - and what he did at the festivities?

And Rashard Lewis needs to lose that second "R" in his first name!

Agreed on Robinson/Howard. That was a co-winner, just like the co-mvp of the main game.

As a Laker fan since before the Shaq/Kobe dynasty, I was very sad to see them part...
and equally elated when I got to see them work together and earn the co-MVP of the All-Star game! I downloaded it instead of catching it on cable, so I had the capability of grabbing screenshots of the trophy ceremony.
So, being a bit of a sentimental Lakers fan, I grabbed damn near frame by frame of it, and posted the photostream slideshow for any of my fellow Laker fans who loved the Kobe/Shaq era.

I liked Lebron's dunk at the end of the game.

I also was impressed by the young buck Brandon Roy.

Allen Iverson indicated his impending retirement by cutting off the cornrows.

Dwight Howard should be a serious contender for Defensive Player of the Year.

Tim Duncan still has no personality. less than none, actually. there's a personality deficit there.

Shaq could break off a little personality for Timmy and still have plenty to spare.
