Default Wizards continue to Win and Improve with Jordan

The Washington Wizards beat Indiana 109-89. Wizards are now 24-21 and very much alive in the East. Michael Jordan scored 23 points. Jordan also had six assists and five rebounds. Nothing great, but good enough to win. Wizards shooting guard Richard Hamilton had 21 points.

Wizards trail New Jersey by seven in the East. I really think the Wizards will make it into the playoffs.

I think they will too because of the MVP Michael Jordan. This team sucked last year, very badly and Jordan comes in at 39 years of age and can still play. They will make it into the playoffs with Jordan there, No question about it.

The question is not 'Will the Wizards get to the playoffs?' but 'How far will the Wizards go in the playoffs?'

All the players are playing great, especially Jordan. He surprised me. I thought he would struggle, but he's doing well.
I also like the team of Wizards sharpshooters, Davis, Whitney, etc.

I can't believe they creamed my Pacers like that. Shouldn't have happened. I never would have guessed that Jordan could make this much of a difference.

Yes, he's been instrumental in the Wiz's success. The ability of role players like him to step up and help Hamilton and Jordan will determine this team's fate.

As of 02/05 the Wizards have won four in a row. They beat Vince Carter and the Toronto Raptors 99-94. Jordan had 23 points. Go Wizards.

23 for #23, eh?

I didn't see the game as the only broadcast in Canada was for those in Ontario ...it was probably for the better, though, 'cuz I had a chem test to study for and probably wouldn't have if the Raps were on TV

I wonder if 2 years from now when Jordan retires again the wizards will be right back where they started - losing.

They will be in better shape than they were before Jordan as players like Kwame Brown, Hamilton, etc. will be more proven and solid.

I don't know. With them getting better, other teams should start looking for young players with skills. The Wizards have become a sort of training school for the NBA. Anyone who goes to Washington and plays with Mike gets better, but they want to see the NBA from somewhere else than Washington. This statement is also true for the Clippers. They are playing and going through the seasons training themselves. They will become better and will be traded to other teams. Unless someone big goes to either of these teams, plus Golden State and Chicago, they will remain "training" teams.

The Washington Wizards won their fifth straight by beating the Sacramento Kings 108-101-Richard Hamilton had 33 points and Jordan had 25. The Kings have the best record in the NBA. The Wiz have to be the most improved team in the NBA.

MVP will be between Jordan or Kidd.
