So I think it's okay to start this thread now. The Spurs were up 3 to 0 before the Mavericks won Game 4 and since nobody's ever come from 3-zip down (in the N.B.A. or Major League Baseball), I think it's a pretty safe bet that won't happen now.

So what's everyone's thoughts and predictions on this series?

I say Spurs in 7. I'll give my thoughts on it later.

I don't think this is fair... (not "okay")... sure, the Mavs won't be visiting SC, but it's not fair... give them a chance!... there has to be a first time for everything... I hope the Davs come out and win and then this thread has to be closed or deleted!... Ha!

...times like this that I remember the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals... Canucks were down 3-1, next game was in New York, and the city was already preparing for the Stanley Cup parade the next day!!!... Guess what? -- they had to wait another week, because the Canucks won the next two games to send it to a seventh.

I think that this will be a great series, if the Spurs advance.

In that case, I'll take the Lakers.

Sure, there is always the chance that the Mavericks can be the first team to come back from 3-0, but it is very unrealistic.

Assuming the current course, I say Lakers in 7.

I gotta go Spurs in 7, even though they haven't had any sweeps, I think that the teams they faced actually thought in their minds that they could beat them thats why each won a game, I think teh lakers will be too cocky after two straight sweeps, I just think San Antonio is too strong on teh inside, it's like they have to centers, they have to all stars in the paint, but then again derek Anderson is still hurt, and he is huge a huge shooter on that team.

I still say Spurs, in 7.

Yeah, wouldn't it be ironic if Dallas pulled it off and got to the next round while this thread already predicted a Dallas loss?

They did come back from 0-2 against Utah, but Utah sure as heck isn't San Antonio. It won't happen.

There's no stopping the Lakers. They are a tornado spinning their way to a championship, destroying everyone in their path. I hate to say it, but it's true.

Lakers in 7. Whoever wins will most likely win the championship.

I have to go with the Lakers. Shaq and Kobe are too dominating right now. And with the role players playing well, tough to beat. Lakers in 6

Default I picked a Spurs / Sixers final mid-season

I'm staying with that prediction ... Spurs in 7. With the way the Lakers are playing though, I'm beginning to feel as though my prediction may not come true. I feel like cursing out Juwan Howard right now, but Marc might have a hissy-fit over the language :p

I have to go with the Spurs. This is the one team that wins the center match-up and can stop Shaq. Then it's Kobe versus the rest of the Spurs. This will be Tim Duncan's series and he will win the Finals MVP when the Spurs go on to destroy the Sixers.
