Default It's Flutie time again

Well, I wished I would have known Flutie was playing this game. I might have picked San Diego this week. Looks like it was out with the old, and in with the older...to steal a quote from Chris Berman. Impressive. I didn't think San Diego had it in them to score 42 points...and actually win a game.

I've stopped cheering for Flutie.... he was great in the CFL in the Toronto glory days but his time is long gone... you guys just wait until you see Ricky Ray who should have been MVP of the CFL this year... he is being heavily scouted by the NFL and may be down there next year. Hopefully he gets a chance to show everyone what he can do like Jeff Garcia, unlike Dave Dickenson.

Anytime he helps whip the Vikings, I'm cheering him on.

Hey, I did pick the Chargers in this game (and outright too, not just against the spread) - and to me it didn't even matter who started for them at quarterback. The Vikings are simply horrible outdoors (where they have now lost 14 of their last 15 games) and on natural grass (13 losses in their last 14). And this was only San Diego's tenth victory in 53 November and December games dating back to 1997.

He will be able to play five more years barring any serious injuries.

This guy is truly amazing. He's doesn't posess any great physical skills, he's not THAT fast, and he has the build of a High School kid, yet he still manages to score throw for 240+ and score 4 touchdowns. It's like watching a kid playing two hand-touch in the street.

And next week, he'll show ya what he's really about when he throws for 172 yards, one touchdown, two INTs and fumbles three times, losing it twice...

I guess what I like about the guy is that he is the prototypical underdog. It is easy to say that he is finished, too old, can't do it anymore, etc. I thought he was finished a couple of seasons ago, and he probably won't have a big impact on San Diego's season this time around. But, just the idea that he can still get out there and get some magic going for a game or so is intriguing to me.....so he's the type of person I root for...despite who he's playing for ...he reminds me of the "average Joe" playing in the NFL ...

I agree with Dave, as I don't think Flutie can keep playing consistently well week after week.
