Man if we could get VC and get rid of Tim Thomas it be great for the knicks. Just as long as we keep Kut thomas and Sweetney.

I think the problem would end of being too many superstars. Too many guys who want the ball.

You'd have Marbury, Carter, Crawford, and Houston when he gets healthy. It would hurt the chemistry. They would doing what the Rangers have been doing for years. Getting big name players and having nothing to show for it.

Plus if you put Carter in that mix you have too many guys that do a lot of the same things. Throw Penny Hardaway into that mix as well.

I don't think it will happen the Knicks have supposedly been trying to get him the middle of this past summer. If it were going to happen it probably would have by now. Tim Thomas is not going to cut it as the upside for a motivated VC is far greater than that of Tim Thomas. I'd take Abdur-Rahim before I took Thomas.

I think Carter would rather play in Toronto than play for Wilkens again... or is he gone now?

Wilkens is still coaching the Knicks but mutiple rumors have came about Phil Jackson coaching the Knicks and if Isaih is not pleased by this season I wouldnt be suprised to see Lenny gone. Phil has said he would like coaching the knicks and likes what they are doing.

Some of the cynics around the league are saying that if Phil is not coaching the team by the end of the year then Isiah will be himself.

Yea but they have been saying that since he got hear and in my mind I truley dont see him coaching the knicks. Like he said he still can coach just not the Knicks.

They have also been saying the main reason he did not take the coaching reigns right away was because he wanted to concentrate on getting the talent he wanted in place before taking over as coach.

I am a huge Knicks fan. I would be so happy if they got Vince Carter.

I have to think the chances of Malone going to NY are slim and none. Malone's agent does not seem to think Karl is that interested in them. The three favorites to land him are San Antonio, Miami, and Minnesota.

But, I did see where the Carter to NY talks are heating up agiain. The latest one has Rose and Carter going to NY for Houston and Tim Thomas. From what I have read scouts around the league are speculating that Carter is done and will never reach the same level he did two or three years ago.

That's kind of my feeling as well... I don't see a whole lot more fuel in that tank.. just not enough drive. But that could change with new team chemistry.

Malone aint going to NY. Sorry, Knicks fans... he'll be Heated up or strapping on his Spurs by the end of January. Kobe's 'apology' was too little too late.... or maybe an excuse for Karl to get out. more thoughts on that in the other thread.

Plus, he is injured yet again and Vince's injuries tend to linger longer than most other players. He is supposed to miss only two games, but I would not be surprised if he misses like two weeks.
