Default New Year's Resolutions

First off, Happy New Year!

Secondly, what are your new year's resolutions?

I'll start us off...

My new year's resolution is to actually try and do good in school. I don't want to brag but I know I have the ability to get strait A's, but I never try. I am the epitome of a slacker. So I'm just going to try and have my homework done (for the most part) and study for tests (for the most part).

I'd like to see how long this lasts.

I don't make New Year's resolutions, that way I don't feel bad when I break them and I always do.

You guys are killing me!

I thought the original poster miss-spelled Resolution "new year's revolutions" but all the 3 of you guys used "new year's revolutions". I thought maybe I lost my mind so I went to

Dictionary.com

rev·o·lu·tion

Orbital motion about a point, especially as distinguished from axial rotation: the planetary revolution about the sun.

A turning or rotational motion about an axis.
A single complete cycle of such orbital or axial motion.
The overthrow of one government and its replacement with another.

A sudden or momentous change in a situation: the revolution in computer technology.
Geology. A time of major crustal deformation, when folds and faults are formed.

Resolution

The state or quality of being resolute; firm determination.
A resolving to do something.
A course of action determined or decided on.

So I have come up with this, either REVOLUTION is a new young hip term for RESOLUTION or you guys copied and pasted from the original poster?

Better yet I am in the Twilight Zone and what I thought was real, isn't.

ME, the only person who used the wrong word was the original poster. He then posted again, making the same mistake. I was making a joke based off of his mis-spelling.

1] Register SC as a business.
2] Upgrade the boards to vB3 with a new design.
3] Change the SC newsletter to HTML format.
4] Get into better shape.
5] Get into a workout routine.
6] Wear my contact lenses more.
7] Save more money, and invest it.
8] Get more involved more socially at school.

Like all resolutions, few actually follow through. I hope I can complete half of these.

I always pick a general resolution so that there isn't one exact road you have to go down in order to accompish it.

Also, I never have more than one.

I restrained mine to two goals, to elevate the odds of focus and follow-through.

#1 is to get in really great shape, and I broke that into 'chunks' (pardon the pun), to help ensure success: initiate a daily 8 minute workout first thing in the morning to jump-start metabolism, eat small and frequently, and hit the gym after work at LEAST 3 out of 5 days/week. Easy enough and doable; the winning formula hopefully.

#2 is to initiate a detailed plan to eliminate debt and then set up financial fortification and structure. I won't go into detail on that one so as not to bore you all to death, but it involves a unique approach of full concentration on immediate issues followed by a calculated diversification.

LOL no kidding...(and thanks) honestly I didn't intend for it to come out that way, I just typed it as it popped into my head and now it sounds like legal talk, but it does say exactly what I mean.
